Has anybody had issues settng up this radio with electric 1/10
Esc , Orion products . Power seems restricted in some way. Any help

Could anyone help me in choosing a receiver for the Futaba 4PX? Which ones are better, the FASST or FHSS?

jhautz 05-09-2015 11:24 PM

T-FHSS. Like the one that comes with the radio. 304SB or 304SBE.

cbs007 05-09-2015 11:31 PM

Would the T-FHSS receivers also give a better range than FASST?

jhautz 05-09-2015 11:37 PM

No idea on range. I don't see why it would be any worse. If you are worried about range then I'd go with the version of the receiver with the external antenna.

cbs007 05-09-2015 11:45 PM

Are the E versions with the external antenna?

jhautz 05-09-2015 11:46 PM

E versions are the internal antenna.

Angle adapter will let you angle the wheel forward or rearward. I just kept trying different till I liked it.

Huske 05-10-2015 01:35 PM

Angle forward is fine for me, was the best on M12 and on 4PX this will probally be the same.
Angle to back is against your hand (if you are righthanded), you have to twist your wrist to much (according to me at least).

Do you guys run your electric stuff in the 50/50 mode or 70/30 ?

I'm still waiting for someone to explain exactly what the difference is and in what circumstance you might use one over the other?

Any takers?

Does it mean less travel to achieve full brake? If so how does this affect collaboration?

Blitzrockey 05-10-2015 09:21 PM

70/30 Is what I use, this gives you a bit smoother throttle.

Curious as to what motor you run ? Mod or stock .... I am currently using a Orion 7.5 in 70/30 but feels really slow ...

Huske 05-11-2015 01:48 AM

I always run 70/30, nitro and electric. Seems to work just fine :).
1/10 electric is modified, 5.5T with lame settings on the ESC :).
