Does not make a difference

They have to be telemetry rx's or the tx will control any non telemetry rx that is programmed to the tx and turned on. if 2 or 3 rx programmed to the tx are on and you turn the tx on all of them will operate no mater what model is selected. I just went through this with my sons 3pv.

Firmware update problem: For 6 months I never realized my firmware was not updated. Had an experienced racer try to update my firmware with his SD card. He had used the same card to update others' firmware. Did not work after several attempts. He mentioned some had issues and to send back to futaba.

Couple questions:

- anyone have this issue and how to fix?

- radio works great as it is. What is the practical benefit?

same problem here.

In the past i updated to V1.3 without any issue..

Trying to update to v1.4 right now.

-Formated SD card
-downloaded zip
-extracted zip
-dragged FUTABA folder to SD card
-insert to radio
-hold END while powering on

And nothing happens...

IDEAS???

So the 304-e would have the range on larger tracks?...Futaba say's the e is for electric only and not use for nitro.

I can't speak to any potential advantage as I had not upgraded since v1.0. However I did upgrade today to 1.4 and also struggled to get it to take the upgrade. I was trying to trigger upgrade by holding end down and then pressing power on. This did not work however it does d work by pressing end and power at the same time. All good now and upgrade done.

gonna try again tonight. i emailed futaba my exact steps i took, and they responded with did i extract the zip??? I clearly said i unzipped/extracted..

Make sure the sdcard is format fat32 not ntfs

All this talk about firmware had me check mine. I found that it was v1.3 so I figured id try to update...
I downloaded the v1.4 to my pc, unzipped to the same folder, copied FUTABA folder to my 8GB micro SD card that was formatted fat 32
Put it in transmitter and pushed the power button while previously pushing and still holding the end button. No problems... Update complete.

Just a quick question for you all. I see a lot of pictures of "grip tape" on the handle of the 4px. What is this for? Just protection or is it something else? Thank you all in advance.

unzipped futaba folder on the sd card.. no love...

As a test i would delete everything on the card and put it in the radio. It should create a futaba folder. If it does that the. You should be able to drop the files in and do the update.

Have you confirmed that the radio will create this folder? I just tried and nothing gets created...

Im gonna find another sd card.. although it does everything properly on my laptop

tried a different sd card(older one) and it worked!
