Anyone know how to get temp telemetry to show on main screen?
So far it seems you have to go to telemetry menu to see it everytime. Maybe setup a shortcut button?

Hi guys,

Ignoring features and ergonomics, how much faster in terms of response is this compared to say a 4pls?

Wondering if the 4pls has a noticeably slower transit time etc?

I don't have a way of measuring it but I went from a 4PL running S-FHSS to the 4PX running the T-FHSS in my 1/10th 2WD buggy and noticed a big difference, the speed in steering meant I initially was turning in too soon for corners and putting too much power on too soon coming out of the corners as the response time of the new system was noticeably faster. I run the older S-FHSS in my 4WD and did not notice so much of a speed change but still quicker.

Anyone see/get these yet? New metal triggers in S and SS (assuming that means small and super small). I have an S coming today, will post up on it.

Just tossed it on the radio, feels good. I've become accustom to the wide stock trigger, but this one tightens it up to a more "normal" radio. The SS would probably be too tight for anyone without the smallest fingers or kids. The olive anodizing color is a little weird, looks good though.

Huh, that lever is pretty cool!!

Btw, does the 4PX offer individual left and right servo delay?
Most radios offer simultaneous delay change, just wondering if 4PX went the extra step to allow separate left and right delay programming...

Super nice trigger..

Could someone let me know the maximum range of the Futaba 4PX?
Thanks

You should have plenty of range for any track. I can run mine all the way down my street and still have control (about 100 yards). That said I am not going to test it and risk a run away.

How far do you need to go?

cbs007 05-03-2015 07:08 PM

I intend to use it for speed runs. The runway where I intend to run it is about 1.2km(almost 4000ft). Hence does it have a range of about 0.6km(2000feet)

That is a long way. I cant say for sure if that would work. I imagine that it would but I would do some kind of a static test first. Regardless of the radio system you are using.
Put the car on a stand and one end of the runway, then take the radio to the other and make sure that you have good communication the whole way.

If you are doing a lot of super long range stuff it might be worth looking into some of the UHF long range options that they use on drones.

Has Anyone used the small powerstar trigger yet?

cbs007 05-06-2015 07:28 PM

Do you know of any UHF radio? Some links will be useful.
Do the FHSS or FASST have a better range?

Ordered the 15mm trigger, shall see how it goes. As long as its just a little smaller than the stock small trigger that comes with the radio, I'll be glad.

Tower is also showing the carbon fiber (aluminum) case as arriving mid May. $110

I'm switching my Sanwa M12 radio to the 4PX (because of weight and balance).
The smallest standaard is 18mm, I also ordered the 15mm brake lever as this is the size on my M12 (if I measured correct)

Ordered:
- 4PX (I think amarican version if that matters)
- Extra reciever (same as in the box)
- Alu 'carbon look' case (the nice one that was shown here)
- 10° Angle plate
- 2 x 2100mAh life from hobbyking after I read that lipo is no good idea (25€ trown out of the window...)
- Screenprotector

With the dropdown and angle plate I hope to recreate the feeling of my M12 with a bit less weight because I like that feeling.
It helps relaxing your wrist and 30 minutes races are easy to do.
