it's personal preference that's why steps are provided in the manual how to remove. i personally find it consistent feel(dont like 'springy' feel) when it is removed.

Only if they calibrated the esc with a death grip first.

Default Radio interference

Hi

I will try this forum for ideas on my problem.

1 1/2 years ago i bought this fantastic radio. Had some interference from the beginning but when updated to firmware 1,1 , i had no
Problems until I went indoors last fall to race 1/12. Then I had the problem that the car suddenly with full throttle hit the track marker. Changed the speedo from Orion to Orca , both 1s. Problem solved. Used the sb304 reciever. (Come with the radio) , outdoors in buggy 1/10 electric had 1 or 2 small glitch , nothing big.
Went indoors 2 months ago racing 1/10 tc. Had the throttle do some small speed glitch when I turn left/right , found problem to be the Sawox 2263 , changed to highest , ran 4 practice sessions of 10-15 runs , and a race with 12 run practice the day before. Then this saturday I ran 10 laps on my local track and then a full throttle burst in to the track markers , resulting in a broken car.

Have anyone any idea to what that problem could be. Had to buy a Mt-s to practice the rest of the day after car was rebuild , no problems at all.

Please help as I love that radio , and would like to use it again

Are you turning the antenna to the vertical position on the 4PX ? you can also try updating the firmware to v1.4

Well , I stood less that 10 meters from the car ehen it took of , dont think the antenna is the problem.
Have been reading the v1,4 instructions , nothing other than features to make the radio more fantastic.
I think I have a defect inside the Radio

In my experience radio glitching is always the antenna, so if you have tried adjust the transmitter antenna postions then check the receiver antenna for any cuts or knicks.

I have tried 3 different recievers , 2 of the e type without external antenna and the one that come with the radio.

As mentioned , I have proberbly been running 40-50 batteries without anything and the. Suddenly it took off

Did you try turning the transmitter antenna vertically? There are posts in this thread from 2014 that mentioned glitching being resolved by doing this.

Hi again

A lot mentioned their tx Battery. Yesterday I tried to charge the battery , charged around 850mah on the battery (vampire 2500mah) , but after 10 minutes when I tried to charge again the voltage was dropped to 6,65. Also if I tried to discharge with 100mah it dropped rather quickly , down to 6,65v.
If I do the same with my race batteries they hold the charged voltage , at around the 8,40v.

Will try to by a new tx battery

Any word on an updated 4PX anytime soon? Thinking about getting one, but I know as soon as I do there will be a new improved version announced.

I have experienced some glitching when the TX battery gets close to the low voltage warning.

The 4PX-R is the latest version and was released recently so you should be good for a while.

I recently purchased one of these radios and I'm slowly converting over to it from my 4pk, does the 4px only work with Futaba receivers? I heard someone say you can use almost any receiver but I can't find how, am I missing something or was someone messing with me when they told me that?

I would like to purchase this radio but I am concerned that as soon as I do futaba will introduce a new high end model. Does anyone know if they will have a new flagship model in 2017?
