Considering many of us are upgrading from a 4pks to the 4px and the 4pks is significantly better than the 4pl, I think it's worthwhile if you can rationalize the cost.

Where in Japan and how much if you don't mind?

I'm hanging out for Tower unless someone else can do it for near $425pp (which is what I'll get it from there for I expect)

after seeing the unit physically. my 2 cents are, this might be the color version of the 4PLS and it might not be the replacement model of 4PKRS except for premium in price(and the 4PKSR is on sale-means stock clearance).
also, it seems to contradict the FASST system(receivers) that they have been using in the 4PK's, which are more expensive)
to balance out the price by using a less expensive receiver.
again, my 2 cents only.

if that is true, i am expecting a real replacement of 4PKSR.

It has all the specs of the 4PKSR.
So it's the upgraded version of it with voice enables telemetry.

It actually seems that Futaba are scaling back FASST especially for surface. The fact there are so many clones now might well be an incentive for them. Most of the benefits of FASST appear to be for helis and planes. All surface racers want is high speed - if they can get it with their own T-FHSS system (which no one is copying yet) happy days.

All the literature from futaba compares it to the 4PK series, fairly sure it is a replacement. It's got quite a few more features than the PLS does, not just a pretty screen. Doesn't mean a uber top end radio won't come out though.

The 4PX Supports both FASST And FHSS RX's.

You can switch between the 2 in the menu as needed on what what you have set up

Need someone to test the latency when it's used with FASST vs T-FHSS

Futaba claim of 30% quicker is an apples and pears comment at the moment!

The 4PX when used with the T-FHSS receiver is 30% faster than the 4PKS-R used with the FASST receivers according to Futaba employees

The new T-FHSS series of receivers are the fastest.

And the 4PX is by Futaba positioned as the new top of the line surface transmitter.

Malin is getting hers next week…..just a shame we are in Germany for the Euro A……will be a long week waiting for the 4PX and production version of the XB8E

Yes, we have all read that.

But what is the difference when you run it in FASST mode with a FASST receiver...... 30% as well? 40%? 20%? 0%?

Same as a 4PKS-R using the FASST receivers……

To get the 30% you need to use the new T-FHSS receiver
