That's good to know, thanks! I have a bunch of 614's myself.

Sakadachi asked how I was enjoying my 4px ...I realized that it had sat in the box for a week My excuse, I was super busy with work and the 165 page instruction manual ...I felt that I needed to set aside 2 days of reading which I did not have.

But the night before my race I decided to set up my 4px, read through the instructions and switch all my cars over to digital servos and 4px receivers.

I was able to do it all in under an hour. ...in fact setting up the 4px isn't really difficult at all if you are familiar with RC cars and have been in the hobby for some time. The manual is a bit daunting, but I quickly realized that I did not need to read the entire thing front to back ...it is mostly for reference (again if your familiar with RC cars and controllers). All the usual settings are present in the 4px and are easy to find.

Going from a Futaba 2pl which I had been using for 5-7 years to the 4px is a huge improvement and makes a huge difference. I didn't understand how a controller/receiver/servo combo could make much of a difference. I figured as long as there were no glitches and the controller controlled the car how could you improve upon that? I have seen the light! The 4px feels great in your hand, controls are easy to find making adjustments even easier and my car responds smoother and quicker than before. It made a huge difference in my driving and last race. Although the 4px wasn't cheap, I feel it was definitely worth the expense.

Sounds good eR1c! I think there was a 2-4page of all the reference features in the 4PX manual when I looked through it a week or so ago.

For my 4PKS-R, those are my go to pages (I put a sticky note there too bookmark) for quick references to all the features.

ah, yes, I think I saw the reference pages in the manual. Yet creating a cheat sheet is a great idea and/or sticky notes ...will have to do that!

Quick question about the 4px

1) I am assuming that the 4px will save your settings when you take out the battery to charge it? It does write your settings data to some internal drive ...correct?

The worst thing that can happen by disconnecting the battery for prolonged periods is loosing the time on the internal clock.

HA, -I can live with that.
I think that I'd only remove the battery to charge it, ...so prob an hour or two max.

It is so nice to be able to put the actual name of each car I am running into the controller (vs my old 2pl where you got 4 digits for each model name).

cool but the handle looks a bit small...your fingers fit through the opening?

It looks small because of the angle but you can put your fingers through.
I never use it though (also not on the M12), it's just for the looks .

It's exactly the same size as the carbon one.

I saw those online, -very cool!

There was a blue aluminum handle that was featured on Big Squid (I think) ...it looked really nice yet I can not find the article nor can I find anything about the handle online. ...maybe it was a dream? I believe it came w/ blue anodized screws to dress up the 4PX as well.
