OK question more for nitro racing. I got a Lipo 2S receiver pack for 1/8 buggy and I will not need any kind of voltage regulator correct? I don't exactly see a lot of voltage regulator devices on stores websites like maybe 6 to 8 years ago.
Receivers are listed as 4.8 to 7.4V battery (3.5 to 8.4V useable range)
Does the servos see the voltages up to 8.4V or does the receivers limit voltages to servos? Most servos list 4.8V and 6.0V specs on speed and torque.

If not, you have to use Nihm or life as an RX battery. Or a voltage limiter but that's added weight en (mainly) extra space you have to forsee.

Well if you are in the USA, Tower Hobbies has the 4PX w/R304SB for $550 but you can apply a $60 coupon discount code to make it $490 and then get the second receiver for the $550 price basically and get free shipping.
If you join the Super Saver club for a 1 Year Membership for $9.99 then that will open up a $75 off coupon code for initially add a $475+ item to your shopping cart and then have better value coupon codes for the next year for different spend points.
Or you can always try your local hobby shop, nowadays more of them can compete or really actually willing to compete with the internet deals.

The reciever can handle 2s lipo without a problem but isn't limiting the voltage for the servo's. In this setup you will need high voltage servo's (I'm running futaba s9352 servo's in my nitro).

I might have to grab some 1600mA 2/3A type 5 cell straight receiver packs then. The costs of the 2 HV servos right now might be a bit tough, still got to buy the RC8B3 buggy when it comes out.
Thanks for the info!

Nice, I got to get like 4 R/C cars up for sale and hope I can sell them in time for the RC8B3 launch so I don't have to use as much out of my bank account.
