I am currently running a novak ballistic with high torque 17.5 and it has pleanty of power. If your 17.5 matchs or exceeds count me in the forst shipment.

I know a few people are watching to see how this motor does. the price is good and I am sure for most club racers they will be fine, but yeah, you kinda have to nail the power on the 17.5 motors. I normally run reedy motors.

will you be selling the motor parts too? sensor boards and stators?

What are you guys running currently for 13.5 ? This will give me a reference of what we have to equal or better.

In Colorado we run mainly run 13.5 boosted. So as long as they are close or match the competition then they will be a great choice. I agree that in 17.5 blinky the motor really has to be spot on but, not as much in 13.5 boosted.

I run a Murfdogg 13.5. I know a lot of guys run the Reedy Sonic's.

I don't know about everyone else.. but I'm tired of paying $90+ for each motor just like I was tired of paying $120+ for each lipo battery before switching to SMC.

I have my fingers crossed on these motors and can't wait to get my 6.5T.

Keep up the great work Danny!

this is why i support SMC (its a bonus that they are local)... AND as you can see they dont want to just put anything out on the street! they work hard to bring the best product to market at the best price.

Ive got my 2wheel just sitting. Waiting on this new 8.5. Hopefully we will see them soon. Knowing smc it will be worth the wait.

As explained before we will only release stock motors once we're sure they have the best possible performance. Makes no sense to offer the best packs and then offer motors that are just average.

I tried viper 17.5 in buggy running in mod class needed little more umph. Otherwise cheaper to try out untill my new smc motors arrive .I got the 6500 and 7200 smc battery's for my sct410 sc and love them!!!

Thanks for making racing affordable again.

Got my 8.5 today and had the chance to run it on our indoor clay track in my 2 wheel. Wow is all i can say. Why did you wait so long to do this!? I love the powerband. Feels so smooth. Good job SMC!

+1 - I got my 10.5 on the weekend and run it on a big clay track, very smooth and controlable power band on them, and they look pretty slick
