For an answer from Danny it will be best to contact him via e-mail or a phone call (these can be found on the website) or go to RCgroups and find the SMC thread there.

He will want to know when you bought them and which batteries you bought as well.

Hey guys, which of your 2s packs do you recommend for a Losi 22 RTR brushless setup? Just some club racing. Looking to grab a few packs, but want to make sure i'm not going to run into issues fitting the battery into the chassis.

Also looking for some 3S packs for a MBX6 Eco which has a short battery tray of 140mm.

his two s packs i use are the race and factory spec 6500 they are both 138.7 mm in length so the will fit just find in that 140 with a little room to spare. but not much. i dont have the width of them right now but the fit in my sc10 2wd and 4x4 and ve8 which has a small battery tray of 140 also.

The 22 rtr should use standard stick packs, if your running mod style motor then go for the 6570 2s, if your running stock I'd go for the new 5000/50c stick which will be out very soon or get the 4600 2s shorty so you have the high c rating but light weight, this option also let's you move the pack back and forth for a tuning option, this is the way I'd go.

Just ordered two Factory Spec 5100mah 7.4v packs. Thanks for the help.

Any idea how long things take that are on pre-order. I want to order some of those 11.1v lips for the Mugen.

I would say end of the month or very early next, I would definitely preorder though as the demand is huge at the moment and the factory is under the pump I believe, preorders will be filled priority.

Well I realized that the same battery with Traxxas plugs were in stock so I ordered two of those and will swap them to deans myself. That way I don't have to wait the estimated 3 weeks until the pre-order batteries arrive.

That's what I would do, just be sure to use a actual deans brand and not a cheap knockoff.

I have the 7200mah 2s batts and all are a little swollen. Danny reassured me that because they are trying to cram so many mah into the roar approved case they will swell slightly. I find no lack of punch or runtime nor any odd behavior when charging. And the IR is still really low for all cells on all 4 of my packs. Not sure of which size batteries you are running as you didn't state but hope that helps.

1 of my 4600 shorty packs swelled a little last week. Hopefully thats same thing you're experiencing, as 4600mah is a lot for a shorty.

All 6-7 of my 7200's swelled and most cracked where the wires come out of the case within first few runs but it hasn't been a problem. The 6500's I have still look good. I would send back but the cracks so far are only along the edge and haven't gotten bigger but then again I run 6-7 packs so most only get used 1 time per weekend between quals and mains I rarely have to charge.

I haven't experienced an issue with my swollen shorty pack either, but after hearing your story i'm a little uneasy. None of my Gens Ace or Orion packs that i've owned for over a year have had any swelling issues. Why are these packs swelling up so frequently?
