Default CONTACT JOHN ADAMS WITH REGARDS TO PROBLEMS!

If anyone has any kind of problems with their SPEKTRUM Systems I STRONGLY suggest you contact:

JOHN ADAMS ([email protected])

As his e-mail address shows, he works for Horizon Hobby and specifically fixes and repairs all SPEKTRUM products as I believe he is one of the developers of the System! I got a number of 1st generation SPEKTRUM Transceivers and though I never experienced any serious problems, I sent them in for some extra peace of mind. All of them got the programming updates needed and I got them back in less than 10 days from Illinois to California - Talk about fantastic turnaround time!

Trust me, JOHN will take care of you! Don't bother doing it any other way if you are experiencing problems! You can now also e-mail him the Transceiver's I.D. Number to find out if you have a 1st generation Transceiver or a reprogrammed one. All you need to do is open the Transceiver and give him the Number on the inside (which is on the back of the circuit board). I have done this as well and got a quick reply back saying the two latest Transceivers I bought had the new programming. Best of luck to everyone and hope this helps!

Two times I did have a glitch for a few seconds. The first time my car went into a fail save. Slowed down, almost stopped, and steering wasn't possible. But after problably 5 seconds, everything worked fine again. The second time also no steering was possible, and car slowed down and stopped. But when I turned the transmitter off and on, everything worked fine again. In a race you don't want the fail safe mode (just as terrible as a glitch). Alone on the track, with no Spektrum systems on no problems at all.

I have driven now about 50 battery packs with Spektrum system in my M8, GP3300's and GP3700's.

Stuff I drive:
- Corally RDX
- MMS 3 (KO VFS-1) with high KO CAP and standard profile
- KO PDS-2143
- Corally Black 12x1 or 12x2
- AMB pt

Also using a 4700 uF 25V CAP to the receiver.

Problems did happen on the track with 3 to 4 other Spektrum users. Could there be more problems if lets say 10 drivers use it. My local track also uses a wireless network on 2.4Ghz for internet. But I don't have as much glitches as on 40Mhz. But failsafe or glitch is the same bad thing for me.

what Spektrum unit do you use with the JR z1

would you use the JR system

or

The KO Helios system?

Default Spectrum Success

I've had my Spektrum system since it was available for the JR R-1 and I enjoyed trouble free operation throughout most of the season (I have one of the newest - non updated systems). I did run into an odd problem 3-4 months later, where the system would go to fail-safe mode out of the blue (nitro on-road). What I found after I changed receiver battery packs is the problem went away, completely. Upon inspection of the battery pack that was causing the fail-safe mode, I found that one of the soldered tabs was loose or broke away from the pack. My guess is the "intermitentat(sp)" loss of power would not be noticed to a normal FM system, if noticed it would appear as a small glitch or "intereference", however, to Spektrum it takes a few seconds longer to "bind".

Once I resoldered the pack, and I haven't had a problem since!

ok guys, i know the M11 Module has extra pins...and you have to drill or buy a new spektrum module with the updated holes....but my questions are the Spektrum receivers(SR3000) compatible with the new M11. is the only difference in the module for the m11?

receivers are not TX specific.... they r generic i.e spektrum only makes 1 type of Receiver

e.g if i have a m8 spectrum system in my car, then if my friend wanted to have a go on my car, but he wants to use his own spektrum helios, then i wont have to change my Receiver, he just uses his Helios.

I have a question that's probably been asked before...I have aQC2..with a Spektrum system. When I plug in my JR4750...it goes crazy. When I hook up my 590mg..it's fine. Will the cap fix cure this??

To those that loose frequency of their car if they're more than 30-50 ft away, I believe I have solved the problem (at least in my case).

Check out my solutions in this thread. Hopefully it'll help a few of you guys out there with similar problems as I have encountered.
