Does anyone here know when the second batch will be released? I apparently didn't get my order in quickly enough (Feb 1.) for the KO unit and my LHS didn't receive one from the first go around.

Got my Spektrum back today. They received it on the 7th, shipped it out on the 10th. Apparently has been reprogrammed. Hopefully that fixes all the bugs.

Thanks for the pic on the 3PK. Two remarks
keep coming to mind:
1. what will they do with the slide cover ?
2. what really would be nice is if Spektrum would
include something to plug that hole left by the
dissapearing original antenna. Now that would be
good marketing. A fluo yellow plastic plug would do
the trick.

hey Spiller,

1. I haven't tried it, but with some slight modification seems like you can make the original cover fit.

2. The telemetry system will attach to your radio through the original antenna hole.

I'll be testing the system this weekend at the Tamiya track for the Reedy Race. Let's hope the weather stays good.

Hello EJ,
Thanks for your views on the 3PK. I hope it will be available
soon as I am waiting for two of them. I also hope that all of the problems which are know by Spektrum won't reappear in the 3PK units.
So keep testing it and help get us an excellent product.
Ciao,

Didn't get mine back that fast, but tested it today and it seemed to work fine. I ran 4 packs through my 1/12th scale without any problems.

My local hobby shop, who i am in pretty good with, said that he got a note from Horizon acknowledging some of the problems, and were doing the updates. he volunteered to send mine in, although i havent had a single problem yet, i might as well get it updated...

any of you that got it local might talk with your LHS and see what info they got...

Laterilus and anyone else waiting on a pre order from Horizon,

I placed my pre order(ko helios) with horizon 2 months ago and still havent received my system. I spoke to them directly yesterday and was told that they are backordered once again and it will be 3 more months until they get more. He said that if you are waiting for one directly from them, to try to find one from another source and you can cancel the horizon one anytime. Bummer part is there was several times where i could have bought one from several hobby shops over the last couple months but i assumed i would be getting mine anytime since the shops had received theirs.

I put the Spektrum system back in my car today, but now it doesn't work at all. I sent it in to have the response time issue resolved, but the receiver now will not bind. After holding down the button and turning on the car the green light blinks once very briefly but doesn't flash like it should.

I was going to pre-order but I knew I would have the same problem so ur best bet is to get it brand new off ebay.

Try unplugging your steering servo from the receiver and then bind the receiver to the module. After binding, plug the servo back in. This worked for me, hope it helps you.

Funny thing about pre order, don't be mad at them for nto getting your system out....Man I put my Spektrum for my Helios on back order in early December. I got mine right when it released because I knew that they would be swamped with orders. Here is the problem. They put in an order for so many items, if they only get 5000 and there back order is 12000 then what you expect. They are struggling to keep up with demand (demand in two ways( first the demand for the product to be released (second with the amount they need) So here is what is happening. They rushed to get the M8 version out and they ran out the day they got them the same goes for the Helios and the same for all the rest of them. Once they finish getting all the different radios covered they will get more of your type, they have to keep everyone happy. Cause how fair would it had been to only focus on the M8s until they finished with the back order while everyone else is waiting for there radio module to get to market. Horizon is swamped and they will be until about X Mas with all the back orders. The suggestion about getting a system off eBay is a valid one.
Just wanted to end the sinceless bashing.
This is how business is run. You can bet Horizon put in orders for the full 12000 back orders but who ever is making the Spektrum isn't finished perducing them. Horizon isn't making these in there basements.lol

Thanks for the suggestion, however I did try that with no luck.

Blakesrc,

Are you ordering directly from Horizon or are you ordering from your LHS? I guess it really doesn't matter, either way you are getting one from Horizon. Well this totally sucks. I've already paid up for mine at my LHS. I hate asking for my money back from them since it is Horizon's fault for not producing enough units.
