Yeah I'll be there. I'm actually not using the micro in my foam car for Vegas. It's busy in my asphalt car wedged in next to a GTB. That was difficult to try and wire before I got the Micro Rx. But I'm running a Keyance for Vegas so there's plenty of room for the standard Rx.

Yep it has power (or at least is supposed to) ....I have fans hooked into mine on 3 of my recvrs all work perfectly.

Default Horizon Spektrum repair Service

If anybody is looking at this thread and wondering how good customer service and repair are.(Not to mention how good the product itself is)
I can attest that they are the best I have expierienced. I tried to modify the module so the antenna was were the normal antenna would be on a M8. The swivel mount broke so I figured I nothing to lose to try the modification. Well it did not work the car worked for about 10 feet and then went to failsafe.
I sent the module to them and traked the package thru the UPS website until I saw it arrive in Champagne IL.
I called the next day and they already had it logged and scheduled for repair and advised me to wait 7-10 days and they will call with cost for repair and get CC info then. Bear in mind this module was not under warranty I modified the hell out of the case to make it flat.
To my surprise I arrive home from work six days later with a box sitting by my door from Horizon (Horizon is parent co. to spektrum). Im thinking to myself I did not order anything from Horizon but when I opened it was my module completely repaired updated with new software and a new antenna on my reciever cause it was cut and i wanted a new one installed on it!
This to me is awesome I was not even going to call until the next day. And they did it all at no charge including shipping.
This to me is how a company makes a better name for themself. I will always use spektrum stuff. Hands down

HATS OFF TO YOU SPEKTRUM YOU DESERVE IT!!!!!

Thumbs up

i had a similar yet not so similar problem, i had problem with one of my spektrum receivers. the internal antenna came off, i could have soldered it back but i didnt want to mess with it. anyway i bought this extra receiver with out the radio on ebay and could not prove a place of purchase cuz it was off an auction, well i sent it out anyway and told them that i didnt have a receipt. about 2 weeks later i get a package in the mail from horrizon, and it was my receiver looked the same till i openened it and bam the antenna was fixed. to top that off they even changed the upper circuit board. best of it all i wasnt charged. Talk about customer service. i love this product.

I am sure this is in the thread somewhere. I was running my 1/12th last night, I just put the spektrum in it instead of my 75 band reciever. My question is this, my light for my transponder was on, but it didn't count a single lap all night. Is it due to the low voltage? Would running the capacitor help? Thanks for any insight.

Which receiver? Standard SR3000, Pro Series, SR3500 Micro?

Also, what track and did anyone else have scoring issues?

Oh, I've been meaning to post this for you guys. I had mentioned before that I would test the QC2 with the SR3500 Micro receiver to see if there were any issues. I threw the receiver in my XXX-T , as that's where my QC2 was installed. Initially, the truck performed the same way it had before when I had the SR3000 in it; sputtered and studdered at low throttle. I tried the Voltage Protector, same deal. Next, I installed the LRP Worlds Upgrade Kit with the larger capacitor on the ESC, perfect. I next tried this same setup and removed the voltage protector, perfect. I tested this same setup with a Kokam 3200 2-cell Lipo. When I plugged the ESC into the low-voltage protector built into the pack and plugged the other other side into the receiver. Same thing as before, sputtering and cutting out. I went straight to the receiver with the ESC lead again, and it was awesome. OH, forgot to mention, this was all tested with an Orion V2 Element 19T motor. So I think the key really was installing the power cap on the ESC to prevent the voltage drop from going too low. I'm very happy with my testing results.

Has anyone used the Airtronics DSC cable (M11) with the Spektrum micro receiver before and were there any issues? Thanks!

Could you post a pic of your set-up? I am experiencing a bit of voltage drop running the GTB/4.5 and the spektrum. I am running the cap that came with the ESC, so if I need something additional, I will have to cop it. The power loss and lag happens at the most in-opportune moments and usually ends up with my car smacking a wall.

You need the power cap on the receiver:
http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...ProdID=SPM1600

I ran the 5.5 setup with the GTB (for about 3 laps before it went up in flames, TWICE!) and had the same issue. The draw from the motor will overload the GTB's BEC circuit and send the spektrum into failsafe mode. Not much fun in the middle of a race.

Alternatively, you could get one of the newer spektrum receivers, the voltage threshold is lower on those.

Damn and I just bought (literally, 4 days ago) the SR3000. I guess I'll try that Spektrum power caop. Now, how will that work seeing that I have the cap from the GTB already? Will they work in unison?
