The Dynamic 8 motor they can come bundled with is a 4-pole 12 slot motor, so I hope so!
Using someone else's 8th scale ESC, I ran an 8th scale truggy motor, a 550 can short course motor, a high RPM 540 can motor, a 12T brushed motor, and a Mabuchi Silver Can 540RS....
I'm 99% sure that this ESC will handle all types of RC brushless motors, sensored or sensorless, 2 pole, 4 pole, or 6 pole. (Don't think it will do brushed...)

iX8 already winning big races!
From LRP's Website:
There's pics up on the site too. Can't see WHICH Dynamic 8 he was running, but the track looks like something we'd run around here....though with a few less BIG jumps, and a few more off-camber corners.

After taking the TQ spot, Travis also ruled the final. Due to the consistently fast and reliable performance of the LRP Dynamic8 brushless motor combined with the LRP iX8 brushless speed control, he defended his lead in style. In the end, he crossed the finish line 3 seconds ahead of second placed driver Ryan Lutz and impressing 24 seconds ahead of Ryan Cavalieri in third.
Congratulations, Travis!

It's all good....less toys now means LOTS more toys later.... besides, the three outdoor tracks here are closed and there is no indoor offroad, so unless I want to drive 8 hours to the Motodome in Minneapolis, I'm stuck with carpet and rally/ice racing until April/May.
Seeing the iX8 take a win away from Ryan by 24 seconds gives me a lot of hope for the potential of this ESC, and if it's being publicly used at big events, it shouldn't be long before we have access to it!

Anybody got one of these yet? If so what does it run like? Can't find any details on prices yet except the inflated one on the LRP/AE website.

So has anyone received theirs yet?

Anyone have any feedback. Sold my Tekin RX8 to get this as it will fit better in my saddle pack Sc10 4x4.

running mine in an sc104x4. AWESOME & BEAUTIFUL esc! ran and tested with pro4 4K and LRP 4.5T X12-L. Works flawlessly and easy to use. Has USB bridge capabilities (which i've yet to acquire the hardware for). Easy to program with pre-set profiles that alter timing, current limiter etc. Super silky smooth, as LRP's known for! Love/hate the fully detachable leads(power, motor, rx leads). The pre-soldered bullets they come with aren't the greatest as they are already showing signs of wear/browning. Got it last monday as a looong awaited replacement for a smoked spx8. Thanks AE!
