But this thread is not an "Official" thread, so its easier to find. And probably not as stuffy either, being unofficial and all that.

If its got the smoothness of the stock spec or TC spec, it will be above and beyond any other 8 scale speed control. Looking foward to running it!

Looks nice, hopefully the $325 for the esc and $270 for the motor comes down a little bit as new tekin systems can be had for half that....
thats the full retail price. not the msrp. im sure it will be around $220 for the speedo and $175 for the motor. ill have to try one of these out.

usually, team associateds msrp, or retail is double the dealers cost on the item. Im not sure if that gives you an idea what street price will be, but my guess is the esc will be just a hair over 200, and motors in the 160 range. Comparable to tekins pricing, but i hope they come out with a combo

rpphobby doesn't have them in stock yet of course but they have it listed on their site for 199.00 or so I believe...........I'm just glad this one isn't like the SPX8 where you had to hook up to the balancing wire as well to run the esc..

I got tired of waiting on LRP to come out with a decent 8th scale system.

Tekin.

I would of preferred solder tabs. I hate keeping up with bullets.

....and made in China! That is why I find $199 too much money while You buy for less a Speedpassion Arrow2 for 120USD or a Xerun 150A for less than 110USD.

Components. American components, Russian Components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!

Bonus points for anyone who can name the movie....

Seriously though....Tekins, Novaks and Castles are either made in China or half the parts come from there too, so your argument is invalid.

Oh, and the motor you run, the magnet is from China.

LRP has a longer proven track record on the world scene than any other ESC manufacturer. I love my Tekin....but I love my LRP more. Blue is better!

It's not about the hardware anymore, it's about the firmware.

Hobbywing makes ESC's for Team Orion and Speed Passion, the difference is the software in them. And a few component and appearance differences.
