Anyone have any direct contact for Speed Passion.

I have been trying for over a month to get an RMA number on the web site and constantly get a Internal 500 error every time I hit submit. I have tried on 2 machines at 2 different locations with 3 different browsers and same thing. So started sending emails the last couple weeks asking for an RMA number and explaining what is going on, and no response. Then this last week I start to call because my warranty is up soon, They answer take my name and number and say they will call back and never do.

Seriously this is ridiculous. Any Ideas on how to get them actually do something and fix my stuff.

Rob

You have PM...please check. Also, we did call you back the same day but no one answered the phone. We have send email twice and no answer as well. WE tried our best to help our customer but we also need our customer to work with us..........

Robudda 723 you might try this # 888-928-1328, can get ahold of them but not sure you can get any service, I 've had my speedo sent in for 5 months, had to resend warranty card & receipt twice & still have no speedo.

Please PM me more info about your case...........I will try to help tag that missing item.

Go with the 2.1 Pro Stock, for the b4.1. It runs anything you want. I run 7.5 with no fans no problem in my 2wd Cougar SV.

On another note, has anyone run the SP speedos with non sensor motors? Is there a setting change to make with the LCD? Or just disconnect the sensor cable? I know if I was on the track, and there was a cable failure, I would see a output difference. I dont know for sure what to do.:tire:

Not that I know of........when you run sensorless motor, no timing, no boost will apply. Either you have all the setting for boost, it will not delivered to the motor.

What is VISTA...?

Just kidding........it will work on 32bit. But honestly...XP and Win7 is a way better choice.

For loading the upgrade software. You load the SP software onto your computer, then you connect your program box to the computer, update the software on it, then use the box and computer to update the firmware on the speedo. All works better with either XP or 7 than Vista.

8.5 motor

Hello, bought a Speed Passion 8.5t,ultra sportsman version 2.0 from a reputable guy at my track. It was still factory sealed, and never been messed with. I put it in my buggy, double checked all my solder joints, and connections. Turned remote on, then car. Gave it some throttle, and poof. Smoke!
Went on to the speedpassion web-site, found the 888 number, called. I get a repeated message to hit 0 to continue. I hit 0, and it replays again to hit 0 to continue. All I want to do is send it in to get fixed. Not lookig for a hand-out in any means..... If you wouldn't mind, could you let me know what i have to do? Thanks Doug

I have contacted the office about your case...the phone is working, but for some reason when you called, it didn't get to the office probably because it is on hold for more then 2 calls inline...please call 1-888-928-1328 again. I have tried it and the phone is working.

I ordered the Speed Passion silver arrow v2.0 2200 motor combo on amainhobbies.com this week.

I plan on trying it out in my hyper 9e. How well are these holding up in 1/8 buggy and what gearing have you guys been doing? So far i've read many of the pages here, but no one mentioned about putting them in the hyper9e.

Not sure what the final drive ratio is on the hyper but with my rc8be and speed passion combo I ran anywhere from a 16-18 pinion with 45 spur gear...... I loved my speed passion silver arrow combo it ran super smooth and never gave me any issue's.......

I really don't know about VISTA...I totally skipped the VISTA and leave my XP alone and use Win 7 on my new machine. However, if you encounter error, I was told, on the Speed Passion Icon (after installed the software) right click, properties, and you can force the program to run on the OLDER platform like Win 95 98 2000 or XP.....

I don't know does VISTA has that feature but I know Window XP does...but I think it will work on VISTA at the beginning.
