I read the manual from speed passion, I guess I would be better with 7.5, it says 5.5t or slower NO turbo software... I don't even know what it is lol and it says then 7.5 or slower with turbo software...

I checked further in the manual of the reventon, I would like to have reverse, so it means I need to run mod0 firmware in it? For example the hybrid boost won't be available for me on that mode isn't it?

Brand new Reventon 1.1 here straight out of the box and can't programme. downloaded the software and drivers. Connected the LCD box and all it says in Connecting to PC for hours and the software says in pink - connect to esc. None of that works even if i connect esc the esc lights up orange and thats about it. So my first track session was MOD1 I guess default with no drag brake.

Any thoughts>?

Did you get this resolved? It does sound like the PC software is not installed properly. Uninstall everything and reinstall. Make sure you also update your programming cards and try the process again.

Hello there
I have a problem with the controller Reventon Pro 1.1 Brushless ESC - Metal Black Silver
The cutoff is set to 3 V after the cutoff vehicle shuttle stops the car at 3.8 V
Is there a solution to this problem that happened with my batteries Turnigy nano-tech A-SPEC 5600mah 2S 65 ~ 130C Hardcase Lipo Saddle Pack and the same thing happened to my friend with the same controller
It is important to note two new controllers
Thanks

What are you running this in? Just wondering. It may be sensing dips or spikes. Many of our users disable voltage protection all together.

so a revention pro will run the blaze 4600? but not somthing like the hobby wing 4000? or tekin pro4 motors? ill look into the blaze stuff, because id really like the have a revention pro again , but in a 4wd sc . is the blaze 4600 a 4 pole motor?

Reventon Pro will run those new Blaze motors with no issues. They were designed with that in mind. They are 2 pole motors.

This RCTech user is currently selling one in the For Sale Thread :)

Hi!

One question, will the Reventon R work OK with the Speed Passion Competition V3.0 5.5t? Would this be a crazy setup for a 2wd buggy?? It is just to play around... Speed runs and some jumpings...

How about the gearing for that motor? What FDR should I use?

Thanks!!!

As many have stated a 5.5 is pretty robust for a 2WD buggy. Many of the Pros don't even run that hot a motor. For speed runs, jumping, or running around a park I would run a 7.5 or even 10.5.

on ebay they list the 4600 as a 4 pole. im not sure how well 2 pole works in 4wd sc?

Disable voltage protection, its a POS feature that gives this issue to many.. Spikes or dips what ever it trips for no good reasons... IF your racing timed heats and are not dumping your really dont need this feature.. For back yard bashers i suggest using it

is anyone running the blaze stuff in a 4wd truck ?

BigCatShooter 01-26-2014 07:11 PM

What would someone recommend in a associated buggy. Will be getting the b5 and wanting to run a 8.5 motor and speed control? Tried to look at there website it's seems to be down.

Pittsdriver 01-26-2014 07:15 PM

I am putting a Reventon Pro in my B5 when it comes, it is sitting in my house waiting. It will be a great ESC for the B5.

kyok2 01-26-2014 07:26 PM

Is there a programmer for the stock club spec esc. Buying a sct that has this setup in it but it won't run with the vipers and tekins. Didn't really want to have to buy another esc.

chrisware1 01-27-2014 12:17 AM

Make sure your battery and ESC fan are disconnected or it will not connect to computer.

chrisware1 01-27-2014 12:23 AM

My Reventon Pro won't turn on, at least as soon as you release the button it turns straight off. It was working fine with stock 1 and 13.5t motor. I changed some settings and put the boost to 150k. I went to full throttle and then it cut out. Now it won't stay turned on. I push the button to turn it on and the fan starts and LEDs come on and as soon as you take your finger off it shuts down. Any Ideas ???
Thanks.

How can i know if my ESC is not working? I have the stock citrix in the dex210 and it can take 9.5t motors, but as my dead engine died because it got wet I'm afraid the ESC is dead too and can kill my new motor... How can I test it if I don't have another motor for example...

I think they are doing an incomplete description. Some of Speed Passion's ads said something along the lines of "...mimics 4 pole technology".

Reventon R, Pro, Pro 1.1 all would be great.

Make sure the ESC is completely dried out. There really isn't a good way to test it without a motor. Some cellphone users put their phones in ziplock bags with rice to dry them out.

Can you reload firmware at all?

lovethebuggy 01-27-2014 11:16 AM

It starts and i can turn the wheels, but the engine won't move unless I give it a push, after a push the car starts moving but it seems like the motor has no power...
So the ESC may be good...??
And will be MUCH difference between the 7.5 and the 9.5??? Both speed passion v3.0 competition..

Before anything I would recalibrate your radio to the ESX.

I believe the 7.5 is much more stout than a 9.5. You can get excellent speed out of 9.5 and it is easier to control if you have a heavy throttle finger. If you are smooth on the throttle I would opt for the 7.5.
