The Pro is one of the best ESC's. I just switched from a Tekin RS Pro on both my 410 and my 4.2 to the Pro 1.1 and it is superb. I think I like it better than the Tekin actually. Includes the program box now so you no longer need to buy a thing. The best and most complete system for your hard earned money IMHO.

Did not know about this thread, so I've probably posted in the wrong thread ... (On road)
When I post as well as my question here too :-)

Purchased just before Christmas from RC Mart Speed Passion Reventon Pro 1.1 Brushless ESC w / Competition Motor V3 6.5R.

Mounted it in my B44, 2, and everything seemed ok for a few rounds.
I think I programmed it to "Stock1", has certainly reverse and brake ...

Suddenly it stops and the motor just slowly forward even if I do not give any throttle.
I turn the ESC off and on, so does everything seem to be fine for a few minutes or seconds...
Have tried several batteries, another motor, turning off temp and low voltage protection without result.
I have also tried a fresh installation without result...

Think it's easier if you look at the video I posted at Youtube. The error occurs one minute into the video.

It seems like I'm not allowed to link to other sites

No one who has suggestions on what I should try:confused: Is it possible to delete the software completely, and add new software for example?
Have sent mail to RC-mart, but do not get a response from them.

have a tekin gen 1 on a reventon pro issue. Esc is cogging at speed and on startup sometimes. Sensor wire is good. esc is good. Motor has a new sensor board.

Did the tekin have the same issues as the viper where you have to snip the 2nd wire?

What transmitter are you using? Don't take this wrong way, but are the transmitter batts fresh or charged. It's sounds like transmitter...if it crawls on it's own. Like it's losing signal or something. Try a diff receiver or maybe a buddy can lend you his tansmitter and reciever to rule that out.
EPA on throttle set to 100/100?
Then flash your LCD to latest firmware and flash the speedo with MOD2 which is smoothest for offraod.. Ditch reverse for now to keep it simple for setup. Don't need boost software with what your running. Recalibrate the transmitter to speedo after you have done all of this. Try a different sensor wire?

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the help. I am hoping this is the last issue i have before my first race day tomorrow with the Speed Passion. Any ideas and I owe you one.

Last week i ran a half battery through the new Reventon R and 17.5 v3 motor combo, and was lacking a little top end (not much) and experiencing cool motor temps. (87sp x 25 pinion)
I ordered a 75 spur and 26 pinion to get my 7.5 FDR, installed them last night, and now when i pull the trigger, i get a "stutter" (cogging?) at low end until it smooths out and is fine. I checked the slipper and it is correct, as is the ball diff and gear mesh... I also plugged into SP software (newest version) and re-sent the Stock "0" profile to the esc. Still has a momentary stutter before it takes off.... i even tried MOD1 and 2 profiles... still does it. Motor timing is pivoted over to 10*. Anyone experience this? its almost as if the car is "ratcheting" ahead for a second before taking off... checked everything in the drive line, and no bind. Also made sure sensor wire is secure on both ends, and motor wires secured. This system is brand new with less than 10 minutes total on it, if that helps.

thanks again!!

I am having similar issues. Speed passion just sent me a 3rd replacement pro 1.1 on Monday. I have not installed it yet. I am also getting the low voltage blinking light. Packs are fresh - tried different motors and sensor wires.

heinen81 01-10-2014 07:34 AM

Good point, my packs were charged 100% as well (7.4 2S lipos) i guess one big thing i forgot to mention as i went through everything.... my rotor has exactly 1/16" of end play, which seems excessive. (my Tekin Gen2 has maybe .002") I noticed this when installing my pinion, that the shaft can be moved back and forth 1/16"... could that be causing issues if it moves away from the sensor board internally that much? Maybe it isnt an issue at all, just thought it was weird there is that much travel.

What is the hottest firmware to use on the Reventon S?

Same question for the Reventon Pro using a 10.5 in 2wd buggy? Tried one of the Mod versions, but it seems it may be better using the on of the Stock versions to use the boost functions.

Any help on this?

You can review some of the ESC setups here.

I thought the mmm comes with 11-20 timing? Isn't the red board 0-10 and the green board 11-20?

Green is 21-30
Yellow is 31-40
Blue is 41-50

BLACK is 0-10
