Speed Passion Thread

sounds similar to what happened to my first pro... But there was a smell of burning going with the issue. Although it never failed completely it had those shut off behavior during some runs..
SP is taking care of it for me thankfully

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't found a clear answer.
A Dutch race spec allows a Speed Passion 13.5t (sp138135v3)
Speed Passion offers a Reventon in several types and combos.
However there is no -S combo with this motor.
Would the -S be able to handle this motor?
There is a Pro combo with this motor, but I am only ordering this one if it really is worth the premium. The motor has a max amp of 19a, so on paper the -S should be fine handling the 13.5t.
Am I missing something here?

I use savox servos in all of my cars. One car in particular has a 1258, with a reventon r and it's just fine. Spend the few extra bucks and buy the R.

I have the Reventon S in my sons stock 22T and never shortened the wires except for the motor wires.
The capacitor came loose from the bunch and the red wire ripped out of the capacitor and the car just stopped.
I got rid of it and used a Tekin Capacitor I have extra of and it still will not work. I get steering bot no throttle and I also binded it again.
Any suggestions?

Typically in the instance when the capacitor comes undone and the unit is on, it will probably damage the ESC.
Is it under warranty?

I tried searching but couldnt find an answer.
I just installed a Reventon R into a 22t. I broke in the diff and the slipper clutch just fine. Turned it off. Then i put it on the track, ran 1 lap, and the throttle died (still had steering.) Took it off, powered it off, and then checked all wires/plugs and it looked ok. Then I put it back on the track, lined up for racing, and got down the straight away before the same thing happened again.
It appears that after about 1 minute of running with the occasional full throttle, it shuts off.
When I arrived home I did some testing and reset my neutral/throttle/brake and checked settings on the ESC and all appeared acceptable. Then was testing the throttle, giving it some juice, and after about 1 minute it just cuts off.
Any idea? The temps on both ESC and Motor are ambient. I used 3 different lipos (all have less then 4 cycles on them) Any idea? Bad ESC? (brand new reedy sonic 17.5 motor as well.)
