Hi guys what's the feedback on the vf8 motors? I have heard of case issues but not finding anything on this thread, are everyones motors holding up?

I have been running mine since the original release of motors and I have yet to have any issues. Globs of power and smooth as silk. I love mine.

Is there nobody that know something of my problem? Would like to know what it is to avoid it on the next esc

Drove the esc for 1 race and 5 minutes, suddenly stopped working, can't turn the power on anymore when I press the button, it does nothing.

Could It be the BEC? Because the servo pulled to much? Anything else that is possible? Would really like some more help... Really thinking of what it is, but I can't look into an esc, so you guys would have to know it best, I don't know how a Viper looks like inside... Do you never heard this before? Is it a weak BEC or something? Please help, I'm really worried. I know it are not the battery's, that's all I know

Hope you can help me out :(

they do not have a weak bec. I thought you were going to send it in to be looked at?

Drerc 05-05-2014 09:56 AM

Yes, but they will not come with a solution I think? I will send him, because I know I can't fix him, but would really like what it is, and I personally think they will not search it to the bottom?!? But for me, it's a big cost if this stays happening. When the servo pulls too much, could this break the esc of this esc? Or can it handle this? Don't know anything about this...

I'm still going to say its something with your motor. Thats my guess

Who are you? Are you a Viper representative? If not, please stop replying to my posts. I would rather have somebody from Viper reply, one who can read English, who can write English and who knows what one is talking about.

Well, really everything he said was spot on. I'd also add try a different USB port if it doesn't connect. And make sure you hit the save button. And maybe be a little nicer to people who are trying to help you.

Do you think? Nothing with what I can feel this? Didn't felt anything unsmooth, felt very good, also, he not suddenly stopped, I drove, turned him of correctly, want to turn him on and I can't get reaction anymore... Would be wierd If it was the motor? But it is possible anyway..

Indeed, this guy really helps me out, more than the Viper guys do (no that they are bad, REALLY not) But he thinks with me, give him some respect, he knows more about it than you...

I have had motors blow out ESCs. It could be a bad sensor, wire, or something else. I would swap it just as a safety precaution.

Drerc 05-05-2014 11:35 AM

Do you feel that? He is only a race new ! How is that possible? Didn't saw any smoke or something, and like I said, I stopped, turned him off normally, would to turn him on, but I couldn't power it on anymore... When your motor is bad, wouldn't it stop while driving and be very hot? Don't know what happens when a bad motor kills an esc?!?

samuelsonmark71 05-05-2014 11:52 AM

I mentioned earlier that I have had this exact situation happen before. I'm just saying don't rule it out is all. Electronics are a funny thing that they can have silly issues for the craziest reasons. Other than that, I'm not 100% sure

Drerc 05-05-2014 11:54 AM

You also had an esc you couldn't power on anymore? Because a bad motor?

samuelsonmark71 05-05-2014 12:00 PM

Yes. It wasn't Viper, it was a Tekin. The capacitor also caught fire, thats just a bonus tho

Drerc 05-05-2014 12:03 PM

That's really not the thing by me, they just where 60 degrees after 5 minutes driving. But I will swap the motor then, again 100 dollars, why do I still do this? lol Really hope that isn't the problem for me

samuelsonmark71 05-05-2014 12:06 PM

Do you have an extra motor to just test? Or maybe a volt-o-meter to check the poles and see if one blew? It could be the sensor wire. I know on my VTX8 it wouldn't power on without a sensor wire (if memory serves me right)
