That was one of the most funny posts I have seen in a long time. I read it 3 times to make sure I wasn't adding it in on my own. Haha!

I know i'm most likely going to get biased opinions on this thread, but was hoping if someone who has used both the LRP X12 13.5 and the ViperRC 13.5 could give an honest comparo between the two?

TIA

Cheers
John

My friend had an LrP 13.5. It was easily slower than any other 13.5 we tested. Murffdog, Tekin, Viper, Orion. And it got hot,..

I will say-the Murffgod was the fastest out of the box, but the Viper can handle so many different combinations of timing and gearing that it was easily made my choice of motor. It runs cool, cn be over geared, to get it out if it's super high torque and not sweat at all

Viper the way baby

Sounds like I need to switch motors, while I like my Orions and Peaks ALOT, I feel there has to be a better solutions then them. How do they match up to Orions? Peaks? pricewise? I havent done any digging, just logged on, have a "new RT5" that im in the process of rebuilding.

I have been running a 9.5 FDR and it seems ok. I have been doing lots of testing with this motor and so far I don't like the power band. I have gone back to the ballistic. But I would try the 9.5 to 9.2 FDR. I am also running about 15* of dynamic timing in the speed control. If you are running with zero timing I would be closer to 8 for FDR. The motor I got does not exhibit the characteristics that people on here describe. It's just slow. And really does not have more torque than a ballistic.

You can pick them up from $80 to $90, and your best bet would be amain hobbies, unless your lhs can get them for you.
