My current setup is tekin rspro/w tekin 17.5 I have loved it but when I run open class I really have to work my ass off... I was thinking of going to a 13.5 and Im wonder what this viper will do compared to my tekin.

So anyways, DLewis do you work at premierhobbies? I would be interested in ordering one but would need to do a nextday air and needs to be shipped out tomorrow so I can get it before I head out to the race this weekand? If so whats the best way to get it going fast...

Also I have my 17.5 setup perfect on my esc, when I put the 13.5 viper on it do you have any suggestions that may differ or need to watch for. I run a mild esc setup so I would think Im good on that and would just need to gear... I have plenty of pinions and can get that figured out quickly...

Just found out that a fellow racer I spoke with over the weekend just ordered the vtx10. He said that he tried to also get a motor but had no luck. Hobby shop did not have the one he was looking for so put it in back order. I love how the vtx10's and the motors almost sell themselves.
I also had a few ask about the 1/8 system. I was wondering if we can get any up-dates?

Fat rotor's i asume? your 900Kv under the other 4.5's.

8th scale stuff is still a ways out. We are testing motors as we speak and things are looking promising, but then will move on to the speedo

Those are the KV ratings of our prototype models, I expect them to stay the same for the production models. Billy Fischer had to gear his VST 4.5XL down to a 12t on his DESC410, which I believe is the smallest 5mm pinion available (correct me if that's wrong). Clearly we wouldn't want the KV of the 4.5 any higher if he was already geared down all the way! We are happy to report Billy's 4wd SCT setup running the VST 4.5XL and VTX10R has been one of the very few trucks not to have any power system issues yet at the recent major events such as the Cactus Classic and the Silverstate in Las Vegas. Unfortunate luck breaking mechanical components in the main events has prevented any title achievements, but it's ok, it will come


I also wanted to make sure everyone knows the first shipment of production VTX10 and VTX10R's will be arriving next week!!! We will begin receiving further production shipments on a weekly basis, so stock availability should be quite strong
