i run the vxr4.5 combo in my slash 4x4. been running it over a year and a half with no issues. the scte is heavier though, so it might be a bit on the slow side in a heavy rig

Clint - check your PM

84 - other pack may have had more "punch" causing higher temps, run time can also make a difference, as well as driving style

wever - i recommend the 4500kv for almost all circumstances involving any racing. The 5150 just needs a lot of space to get into its RPM band and most tracks don't have that.

Questions?? viper copperhead

Would the viper copperhead 4500 combo be a good choice for racing. If so what pinion on stock gearing in A stock scte 1.0?

Losi scte 1.0
Smc 6500 70c 2s batteries
Medium to Large 1/8 scale outdoor track

Thanks,
Rheal

I just picked up a VTX10 Black Series ESC. Is there any issues if I servo tape the capacitor right up against the side of the esc? Heat issues or anything like that?

Are you phasing the 5150 and the 3900 out? I notice you don't have them listed on your shop for motor alone (ie, not in a combo).

Not at this time -- we actually have too many in stock.

Thanks for the info Nick. I have placed my order for the Copperhead 4500 combo and pro gauge. Looking forward to trying it out.

Rheal,
I would start with a 16t and check temps and adjust from there. I run a 15t on an indoor track with a couple 180s and have no temp issues.

Hi guys,

When using the new pro capacitor modules, do these go in addition to the capacitors already soldered to the esc, or do they replace them? (I have the vtx10r-BE)
