Also what you aren't seeing in the photo, is that picture is of absolute max steering throw on the Tekno, the servo arm will never get any closer to the wires. In the Tekno, the servo horn is on a 30* or so forward angle when the wheels are strait.

Would it be ok to set my motor temp cut off at 210 or would that void the warrenty?

As long as end points are set correctly, this would not be possible. When engaged, the servo saver "moves" at the part connected to the wheels. The part connected to the servo tie rod does not move.

Thanks for the advice. Can i just set the acceleration boost and not the top speed timing? Also are they independent of each other, so if i have 30 on the motor, 15 on acceleration boost, and 15 on max timing they would be 45 total throughout the rpm range and not 60 total. Im running the older software too if that helps. I don't have much time to play around on race night so i would like to get it close as possible. Thanks,

start with gearing down a few teeth. put the esc in race open mode. add some acceleration and top speed timing, start low to start with 15º each, slew rate low as well maybe 3. Start rpm around 6000, finish around 19800. test it out, see where you want more adjustment - bottom end, maybe top. Every driver likes it a little different, so you are going to have to test a little to see. As always keep an eye on temps to be sure (both motor and esc).

Ran my Viper 8.5's in my new Team C TS2 2wd SC and Evo 2wd buggy this past Saturday at Adams Creek Raceway in Broken Arrow Oklahoma and they performed flawlessly. Running a VTX10BE in SC and VTX10 in buggy. Finished 1/11 in buggy and 5/21 in sc. Was struggling to find the sweet spot for handling in the sc but buggy was dialed!

This is a good question. Here is my opinion. For starters, I have my BEC set for 7.4 volts. I would not go any higher than this. Most high voltage servos are rated at 7.4 volts and any higher you run the risk of voiding the warranty on the servo. I also use a Ko Propo radio and all of my receivers are rated for 8.0 volts. In most cases 7.4 volts is high enough to stop the brown out issue most people see with tekin and a high voltage servo. As with any electrical devise, there are power spikes. Most spikes will not harm any equipment, but if you set your BEC to the limit you could find the weak spot in your setup. Besides at 8.0 volts your servo will only be a little stronger and a little fast. IMHO.
