I got my factory team sc10 built last night, now
I'll be getting a viper V10 and 10.5 Viper motor to complete it!

If you can wait a couple weeks, grab a VTX8 for your SCTE. You won't be disappointed. Viper quality and support is great.

I went up to Bumps and Jumps today in Harrisburg PA and worked with Fred on speed control settings. I think we have something killer. It's late tonight but we'll try to get the setup sheet up ASAP.

Nice run Nick and Rick and anyone else rocking with their fangs out :sneaky:

race report

2nd round of the I-5 race series was held on 12/01 in Cottage Grove Oregon. I entered stock 2w and stock stadium truck. We had 78 entries and the racing was great. I managed to place my Viper powered Team C Evo in 3rd place on the grid for 2wd stock and my Team C truck in 3rd place as well after qualifying. My cars worked flawlessly in the mains and I managed to finish 2nd in 2wd and 3rd in truck. (They combined our truck class so I was running boosted 17.5 in the mod class.) I had my cars running strong and my Viper/Team C stuff is about as perfect as can be.

I am running the VTX10 a55 firmware geared 80/27 in truck (blinky)

and running the VTX10 a55 firmwar geared 75/29 in buggy. (blinky)

my cars have way more punch and come off the track around 116deg. :-)

bring it on 12-03-2012 09:20 AM

I was two behind you in the __ Main (we can just leave the letter out :D ) running my Viper combo...and will be looking forward to seeing how our setups compare. I felt like I was running really well yesterday, was a bit disappointed with my buggy finish...picked up a lap but finish SOOO far down from the fast guys. Bumps has really put me in my place.

yeah well my race day went in the toilet when my M11 decided that 76 days of life cycle was enough. Radio had a wicked nasty delay. I thought initially it was my ESC settings, since I was playing with stuff, then when Mike drove my car and asked me why my servo was messed up, I knew something was up... sure enough it just got progressively worse all day. I just toughed it out and made sure that my little one enjoyed her first race (also rocking a VTX10 BE btw :sneaky:) and gave feedback to Fred on his setup.

I had a really good run going in the 2nd round too, would have probably put me just outside of the A but that 47 second last lap when they thought my was already done kinda killed me LOL.

Pro tip. NEVER pick up a car off the track or leave your marshalling spot until the race director says all cars are done

Still a very fun day.

I promise I will get those settings up tonight after work and before 9pm est LOL. Oh and next time come up and say hi so I know who ya are! Usually sit on second floor back side near where the announcer's booth is. But obviously everyone knows me (is that good or bad ) so just ask where I'm at :)

That sucks!!! Radio problems are never fun and they are hard to notice. Sorry about your luck but good run nonetheless :batman:

Yea Sebastian was running VTX10R with VST17.5t in his XXX-SCT.

Was that you everyone was yelling at in that heat? (marshaling incident) I've got to be honest and say I'm not a fan of the marshaling at Bumps. I had a kid go past my flipped buggy to get to another buggy first...but I know if I wasn't upside down I wouldn't need the marshal. That holds true until you get to the Mod SCT B Main and you slow down on the back straight so that you don't plow into the pile of cars only to get rear ended by two other trucks at full speed. I really wonder what some of these guys are thinking (other drivers). :flaming:

Yes we tried every thing! Just time for Bob to pony up and get a new radio!

Bob and I ended at the same exact settings. He will post up the 2wd settings tonight! I think I finished 5th in the B and man did i get a sweet hole shot from 8th!

4wd buggy was RIPPIN! Still having a overheating issue even after milling out the chassis for more cooling. Think the problem is in my drive train. Made it to 8min and went out while leading! Guess if your gonna go, mine as well be on top when you do!!

Thanks again Viper for some AWESOME products!

Ok, as promised.

Let me know what you think and please let's see the questions, suggestions, etc.

Trying to figure out what happened to my VTX10 this past weekend. On two of my heats, when it came off the track the top 3 lights were blinking yellow and the ESC wouldn't turn off using the button, I had to unplug. On those runs, the transponder also missed laps. Is there a guide to error codes for this ESC or can anyone help on what happened?

So you're boosting the 8.5? :weird: I'm running it blinky and I'm not getting passed on the straight...it's the whole turning fast that I have an issue with.

It's not alot of boost. Normally I don't like boost, but Fred said to try it so I did and it's good.
