brainiac asked all my favorite questions in one post!! Here are the quick answers:

Differences in esc's
10R's - able to handle lower turn motors and 550 2-pole motors
10's - down to 6.5
VTX1 - 1s capable, 2s capable down to 8.5

Difference is Regular and Black Edition -- external capacitors on Black Edition have slightly increase BEC protection, lower profile in chassis. Regular units small foot print with caps on top of unit.

Not all motor kv ratings are the same. There are no standards to the measurement parameters. Similar motors can have different characteristics - like more torque or more rpm, but are generally similar.

Hey I'm looking at getting into 2wd buggy and I had some questions about your products. Sorry for asking these as I'm sure they've been asked plenty of times before but I'd greatly appreciate an answer.

What are the differences between the vtx10 the vtx10-r and the vtx1.

Also what are the differences between the regular and the black editions?

Also while looking on amain I saw that your 17.5 motor is 1900kv. While looking at others such as the new tekin 17.5 I noticed that it has something like 2700kv. Wouldnt this motor in theroy be much faster due to the higher KV or am I missing something?

Im looking at buying the vtx10 with the progauge and a 8.5 motor from the viper store and the price says its 229.00. But when I put it in my cart to buy it its coming up 299.99. Why is the price coming up higher when I add it to my cart?

Got everything moved from the XXX-SCT to the 22SCT last night. So everything is Viper powered except the 1/8 Scale!!! The 22SCT is now Mid-Motor 17.5 and 8.5 Viper powered with a VTX10! Have to swap the motor and suspension between 2 diff tracks.

Can I send my viper vtx10 be in for a new switch? My little power button (the red piece of the button) fell out and I had a local hobby shop owner solder on a Lodi switch because it was an important race but since its over and it's the holidays I figured Ill just send it in now And get it over with! So can I send it in? And how much would a new switch cost? Thanks

I have a vtx10r and a viper 10.5 going into a kyosho scr-sp what would be a good starting point for esc settings ? Also if you have any gear suggestions if a medium/Large outdoor track

C Branch 11-17-2012 11:17 PM

I have been playing with settings on my Viper stuff and it just keeps getting better! My motor is coming off the track at 105 degrees and is plenty fast. I took my throttle PWM from 2000 to 3200 tonight and it does feel that little bit smoother.
I am loving it!!!
