Im trying to decide between those two motors for my 22. What size track are you racing on that made you decide the 17.5 isnt enough motor?

well they recently changed the layout so i needed a little bit more to clear the jumps so i just switched to a 13.5.This viper 17.5 has alot of grunt and ran great when it was a 1/10 layout but now its like an 1/8 layout so i need a bit more power.:nod:A buddy of mine at an indoor track runs the viper 17.5 in his mid-motor tlr 22 with no issues.just as fast as us with some timing.:D
Feedback on Viper ESC shows smoother throttle delivery but still can add in power where needed. |
So.... How do a fit a Viper 550 SC motor into my AE 4x4? Seems like i need to dremel the chassis to make it to be able to adjust it for the 2 motor screws, and to be able to slide it front/back for mesh/pinion differences...

If i left part of the top rigid vertail portion of the chassi there, and worked down on the curve of the chassis with the dremel.. You think I still could get the sensor wire on?

Do you have a birds eye shot of the chassis with the motor out? Kinda want to get an idea of how much material needs to come out... Doing this as i type right now.
