Ah, I can't wait to get my hands on the Vtrax system! Looks incredible man, keep up the good work. I'll definitely be running the Vtrax/10.5 in my XXX-SCT

Here is one of the sample Vtrax10's wired into my TQ SX10 2w - ready for the J Concepts race at LIR tomorrow - if I can get through the snow to get there.

Great install, easy to work with on set up and using the Pro Gauge is great, plug it right in - no unplugging the connection from the rx. Set up too like 10 seconds.

Can't wait.

well i pulled the trigger an order two viper motors a 17.5 and a 10.5,looking for gearing for both. i have a kyosho rt5 with lrp 07 shere, i dont have boost or timing advance. thanks

nikos2002 01-09-2011 02:56 PM

I would start one tooth higher than you ran before and then check temps.

BTW, A TQ customer won the 13.5 Buggy class at the J Concepts Winter Shootout. The SX10 2w chassis and Viper 13.5 were a great combination!!

Any news on the 1/8th systems? :sneaky:

Dlewis4 01-09-2011 03:32 PM

When I talked to Weylin about the 8th scale stuff, its a ways off. Will be this season, but he is wanting to make it perfect before it hits the streets. No more blowing up speedo's!

losi316 01-09-2011 07:29 PM

so I am thinking 78/21 to start for the 10.5 and 75/26 for the 17.5. should i stay below 180 on temps for these motors. thanks

That sounds like it should be a good starting point. Temps should be well below 180, but 180 is the upper limit I like to stay below for motor longevity. For offroad you should see average running temps around 120-140. Gearing is specific to track size and layout of course. Our motors are very high torque and smooth, I would recommend taking the most common ratios you were running before and go up a tooth or two. Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions!

We're trying to release the 1/8 system by spring 2011. But most importantly we want to make sure it's the most durable 1/8 system on the market!

Sweet! I am really looking forward to another Mfg stepping up to the plate and jumping on the escale band wagon.
I will definatly try one out.

If it performs well, is bulletproof, and upgradeable, you will own E-8th!

Thanks Viper RC Solutions

I just want to thank Willie and Weylin for giving me the opportunity to run Viper R/C in 2011. I will be running at Outback Raceway (club racing) and will have the 10.5 strapped into the SC10 looking to create some open mouth stares! I have already seen the motors perform and we actually had some sample pre-production esc's show up at the shop today to do some testing.

Kendall is totally excited and you guys wont' believe how cool these look in person. And the fact that every esc comes with its own programming card is incredible. I know other manufacturers that have done this, but you can definitely see the quality in the Viper RC products.

Once again thanks and believe me with the Viper RC, just like their tag line says, "THIS WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!"

Everything looks sweet hopefully dealers in the midwest start getting these. I'm sure they will sell super fast. Can't wait to test these out and tell people about them at my track.:)

nikos2002 01-12-2011 04:49 PM

Got a chance to put some test time on the Vtrax10 esc this week. Like the motors it was silky smooth. I think you all will like the range of adjustments. Its super easy to set up and has a switch that won't get turned off by accident. I also used Viper wire and sensor cable with it. Everything worked really great.

Like the motors the esc has a great look as well and should be easy to fit in everything.

when is the 1/10 esc available?!?! WHEN??!?!
