SC 1256TG 'twitching'

I have a SC 1256 TG in my MBX6T used for steering that has started a an extreme 'twitch' when it is not under load. basically when it is lifted or on the starter box it pulsates from side to side.

Is there any cause for this, can it be fixed, and more importantly does it effect the performance of the servo?

The servo would be about 18 months old.

Is the buzzing/humming sound normal?

installed a 1258 - super fast and lots of torque, love it just makes a buzz/hum sound...

The reason I run the 1258tg in my 8ight 2.0 is for its speed and torque is more than strong enough for a buggy, the 1267hv/1268hv are stronger but are not quite as fast. The buzzing sound that it makes is normal... the servo is trying find center/neutral position.

I did for about a year before moving it to my throttle and putting the 1258tg for steering instead.

I just installed a 1256 in my Losi 8T tonight.....went to power it up to align the servo horn and yea, the wheels just "twitched" and the Castle ESC didnt even fully power up.
Lol, but I tried to move the tires with the radio and then all of a sudden the ESC finished loading up and the light went green.....which means "go" I guess cause the motor spun up to about 1/2 speed.

Good thing it was on a stand. Unplugged the battery and thought about it for a bit and remembered that Spektrum and Savox dont get along too well. It seems the Savox servo's ran the Spektrum receivers a little dry and starved em for power. Since I didnt have a capacitor to try, I removed the DX2.0 system and installed an Airtronix MX Sport that I was selling.

Works like a charm.:D Looks like the Spektrum system is for sale instead.

EDIT: I shouldn't say ALL Spektrum systems, just the older receivers I Imagine. I say this because I have a Savox 1256 in the Xray and controlled by a Spektrum DX3R with a 3100 receiver, works great, no capacitor.

I just got another RC8b and am wanting to get a couple servos for it. I've got the big hobbico servos in my other buggy and they work great, but I've been wanting to try out these savox servos for awhile.

I'm trying to go kind of budget friendly with this buggy and was wondering how these 2 would do.

this one for steering. It worries me because it says larger standard and I'm afraid it won't fit, but the price makes it really hard to resist. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...tal-Gear-Servo

and this one for throttle. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ium-Gear-Servo

I'm also wondering that since I'm use to the 333oz that my other servos put out, if I will be let done by these. I think 333oz is kinf of overkill anyway, but it's been a while since I have used anything else.

Does anyone how info on the Savox 127x series? I can find posts dating back to September of last year mentioning them. And I talked directly with Savox, and they said the end of March. Well, it's May...

Any sponsored drivers/vendors have any info? You used to be able to see the 1271 and 1272 (I believe) on Savoxusa.com, and their page send "coming soon" where the price/purchase button usually is. Now they seem to be taken down altogether. Has the 127x series been canceled? Or pushed back even further?

I just upgraded from an ancient futaba S148 to a 1257tg in my b4.1 , and I can't believe the difference. It's so FAST!!!! Of course, anything would probably seem blazing fast compared to that servo, but still I am very very happy with the purchase. For what it's worth, I did not need a glitch buster, using a Tekin RS Pro with a Futaba 603FF receiver.

Problem solved

I have a Hyper 9e,tekin 1900 combo,4s 5000mah lipo and an older spektrum receiver linked to an Airtronics M-11. My 6 year old Jr 9100s had a lot of slop around its center so I decided to get a Savox 1258tg. Bought it,plugged it in,mashed the throttle, turned the wheels and the receiver light went out. Then I installed a Spektrum power cap....problem solved. I practiced all day with it today, not one single glitch.:)
