my SR3000 receiver works fine for a min and then the throttle goes crazy and the binding light starts flashing rapidly, this is with a fully charged battery, I thought it was a defective receiver.

What is weird it I have a second SR3000 receiver and it works fine, so I wonder if it is a defective spektrum receiver or due to high drain servos.

is there a thread with more insight into this issue?

I'm having the same problem,I switched my lipo battery and the sevos worked fine. But the batt. I took out was at 6.9 volts so it should have still worked the servo's. there 1257tg's. the funny thing only 1 servo went ass wild. just kept glitching like mad.

Yea I was using two digital ACE servos and only the throttle servo would act up

I tried two battery packs they would always be charged and after about 5 min of playing with the throttle and steering the throttle would go crazy and the bind light on the receiver would start flashing rapidly.

I should probably try with standard servos and see if the same thing happens

Savox screwed me out of my free t-shirt with my order!.

It sounds like a high voltage servo issue. I ran into that problem to in the past with certain servos. Like you guys said even if you put a glitch buster doens't take all the glitches out. So I will go back to the analog servos like I have in the past and had good luck with.:nod:

yeah I am going to try my sr3000 with two basic servos and see if the issue occurs, what sucks is the receiver is brand new I only used it for a few hours and saw the issue, and then I got out of r/c for a while so now its a discontinued receiver and horizonhobby wants money to possibly fix a new receiver.

The odd part is I have two SR3000 receivers one is like 5 years old and works great the other was like 3 years old and has the issue, it has to be a production defect.

mine 2,only throttle servo. I need to find some good old hitec 645's. they lasted almost 5 years. Then I went to the lipo fad and am having problems. servos burning up/battery shorted out caught on fire inside batt. box. I'm using losi regulators. I will say I like the savox servo's they are fast, but am concerned about durability/costumer service. Well that's not fair it seems they do stand behind there product.

i know on some higher end radios there is a setting for digital to analog. not real sure what to look for, ive never had that problem in a nitro running lipo rx packs, but did have that problem in my 1/10 jammin scrt10, i had to get a CC BEC to adjust the voltage going to servo. savox servos are alittle voltage hungry expecially the 1268 and 1267.

I'll look and see if there is a setting for analog/digital. I don't think so but the transmitter has so many features I havn;t even touched yet.

i know, why to make gadgets for me! ive messed with them, but dont know what they do..

is it radio based or servo based though?

because don't digital servos naturally drain more power?

also I never had lipo packs I had NiMH in my nitro buggy.

I am still going to try two non digital basic servos

bigmatt 03-03-2011 08:23 PM

should still work without issue. just decreased run times.

servo based, the savox require a constant higher voltage than most servo in my opinion anyway, what radio are you running? i know certian futaba rx's only reccomend 6.0v, the specktrum will handle up to 9.6v. running a futaba rx that is only rated at 6v will starve a savox servo, and will glitch and act all crazy looking for MORE POWER. on my jammin scrt10 i had to set CC BEC at 6.5v to get the savox servo to work as it should, any lower than that would cut power from receiver and servo.

I'm using the spektrum dx3s system. learn something new, ccbec? and how do I set it?

wont work on a nitro, only electric car/truck, programs through a castel link

rcrevolution 03-03-2011 08:51 PM

I was running an Airtronics M8 with spektrum at the time and a SR3000 spektrum receiver, like I mentioned I have 2 of the identical models, one works fine one doesn't so it has to be a production defect, and the glitching starts almost instantly, not even 5 minutes of usage and it starts going crazy on the throttle, I was using ACE servos which are 6v but are digital so they should be very similar to the issues some Savox servos have.

what can someone recommend to me as a non digital servo for a 1/10th tourer for bashing, I won't be racing so I do not need sub .15sec, Savox make anything that fits my needs?
