it dose not matter what cap you use no servo will ever come close to the 4700uf mas theyu use is about 1100uf and about 7.5 volt at spike so your fine to use any of thm as they all do the same job.
i use spektrum cap because there cheap all i run in my rc is savox servo's and spektrum cap's even if it dont need it |

A larger capacitor USUALLY means larger capacitance because there is more dielectric material present. I'm not sure of the numbers for any of them but if the Novak is larger it should offer greater charge storage than the spektrum which can only help. The 10V is a max voltage rating, I believe, and Spektrum uses this because some of their Rx's are rated at 9V. The Novak may have a smaller V rating, but should still offer large Capacitance(uF).
Anyone elses input would be appreciated because I am by no means an Electrical engineer. P.S.- Do you have your radio's EPA adjusted properly so you are not binding at steering end-points? Just curious if that might be causing the increased draw. As stated below I ran the Novak capacitor last night and the car didn't loose connection to my radio during any of races. Bob |
Glad it worked for you. Congrats on your wins!

Yesterday at a race I had a fuel line break and got fuel all over my 1256's. later on during the main my throttle servo completely stopped working. I wake up today and try the servo and its working fine. Anybody else ever have an experience like this? My servo might be okay now that its dry.

Savox Servos have a 1 year warranty on them with the typical disclaimers like abuse, misuse, etc. They have a USA office so it should be aquick turn around, but like I said I don't have any experience using it. That's gotta say something about the quality.

also if your servo is in that one year warranty you can take your servo to the place you bought it and they are supposed to swap it out with a new one if something is wrong with it.

good thing mine (1251MG) is not having the glitchy problem as others are experiencing, but its loud. hahaha.....

I like my one Savox. It does have a few wierd quarks thou. Its buzzing almost constantly and for some reason if I go in reverse at a decent speed and turn the wheel it starts turning irraticly side to side. Kinda makes the front fish tale and loses control. But thats not that much of an issue. I dont do high speed bacwards turns often. But the buzzing/humming noise drives nme crazy. But its a SC1258TG and has alot of torque and speed and centers perfectly. All and all its a great servo. Any ideas with the buzzing? Im running it with a Blitz with a Mamba Max (original 2s/3s one), TRX 3500kv and FlySky 2.4 radio. No other servo in this set up does this. Only the Savox.

I have the low profile savox servo. I have had not problems with it at all. The tech support and service when I went to purchase it was excellent. Definately going to be trying more of their stuff!

Been running the 1257tg and 1258tg in my TLR 8b 2.0 for about 2 months now and I love them, now I'm trying out a 1256tg in my 8t 2.0 and so far so good I'm gonna save my new Hitec 7950th for now, I can live with the noise that it makes my o.s. engines drowns them out.:lol::tire:

Is any one using life-pro batteries? If so what type? I am using 1257's. I would like to get away from lipo but am worried life packs will not hold up to the power demands of the 2 servo's. Any input? Reason for leaving lipo, had rx lipo catch fire in the car.

Running a SC-1256TG in a 1/8 buggy on 4s, do you need a BEC or any type of capacitor?

Being a newbie to all this, what do I need? I am guessing it stops the buzzing/humming noise from the servo? What happens if you don't run a BEC with this servo/RX8/1900?
