Its not relevant anymore as thats very old info, and the starting points that hobbywing suggest on their PDF are very very good(as well as their explanation of everything). I wouldn't even bother reading it.

Just wanted to briefly say that I have just installed 518STOCK using the boost settings and gearing for 13.5 with my SP v3 motor that are suggested in HW's pdf.

Ran at two race meetings, one on a 30x16m track, one on a 20x8m track, and lacked nothing in speed or driveability to the competition, with comfortable motor temperatures.

Credit to Hobbywing for the software and documentation.

Dear Loyal customers

It has come to my attention that many of you are told that there is new software for 1/10th scale there isnt the only new software update is for 1/8th scale and if there was an update to 1/0th like the 518 and 528 you will be the first to know through email.hobbywing website and rc tech as well as redrc and many more .

Please dont ever believe that because sp has some new software out that hobbywing has to, its not the case even though Hw does do sp software it is not recommended for HW esc's for various reasons .

thank you for your time

regards Angelo

Tried this setting with the LRP X12 10.5T Stock Spec...
Tone it down 2 steps for for settings for settings 9 and 12...
As given was too aggresive...

In use I have found that the Speedpassion 528 Software seems to run cooler on the Xtreme Stock for me on these settings at Maritime Raceway UK.

On SP 528 the minimum Start RPM is 4500 compared to 3000 on Hobbywing. This was geared at 7.13:1 overall FDR.

Just my tuppence.

Sorry my bad was in a lecture at the time dying of boredom, it was a Hobbywing 13.5T one of the new ones and they are VERY good, ignore the low Kv rating they are faster than that shows.

Are you sure you dont have some short on your battery somewhere because from what your telling me for the neg wire to desolder it must be reaching about 183 degree and above also depending what solder your using .

Also you might have a slight problem with the caps as they equalise the voltage of the battery and the esc.

But from what i can its a dead short somewhere as that is excessive current flow .
