So what would cause my 3.1 1s to have random brownouts of power? One lap it will work as expected and be fast as shyte but another lap ill punch it and the car just lumbers down the straight.
I ran the esc in 13.5 blinky and it worked flawlessly though had issues with standing starts until i changed neutral width to 4%.
Switched the esc to a 4.5 car and left the stock software on and encountered this power problem.

While i have attention i might ask for setup advice on 13.5 blinky 1/12. I ran the esc with default stock software settings and it was fine. Curious about the three punch settings ect.
Running with a reedy sonic mach 2 stock rotor. 32deg timing and 88-89 rollout. 70x30 technical medium traction carpet.

Come see me Doug and I will get you set up for stock 12th with your HW. I've been running it in my 12ths for a while now.

What is your lvc set at ? Low voltage cut off? Also please do a complete recalibration and also tell me what your punch settings are set at and what battery your using.

Are there any plans to offer any 1s esc options other than the 120 A 3.1 1s? Something like a juststock, or stockspec but for 1s specifically? With the older Xerun 1s not available, the 3.1 seems like overkill for most classes and a lighter 100 A version would be welcome.

valk 11-03-2013 12:44 AM

Lvc was default 3.4v i think. Punch default for the stock profile but also had the same issue with modified profile.
Battery was turnigy nanotech 5600 50-100c. Motor is tekin gen 2 4.5t with high rpm rotor.
I did notice the tunigies have a wicked sag in mod. My orca program card reported a drop o 6.6 volts in my 4.5 mod tc lol. I have a reedy 65c 6500mah but that battery feels very flat compared to the turnigy 5600.
Planning to puck up some smc 70c batteries. Would those be sufficient for mod?

Now if this is not customer service / care, what is?

can u help me?

Seems as though no one wants to respond to this question... I emailed hobbywing twice and came here for help when I got no response.. But now I see this might be a issue that
goes a little deeper

With the LATEST USB Link software on your PC, you should be able to downgrade your ESC to an earlier firmware version, if it is available in the list. If not, I think it is going to be difficult.
Even if "V1.00_111207a_2R" is not in the list, you can go back to the oldest one available in the list, close the USB software, start an older USB software, and downgrade the ESC again to an older firmware version available in that list.

This way I was always able to downgrade to any firmware I wanted, even sometimes in steps "back in history".....
