hey guys,
I got the Hobbywing control box for my XeRun ESC V2.1 but I'm having problems downloading the software on my computer. My windows 7 laptop keep saying it doesn't recognize the RAR file and doesn't know what app to open it with. Can you help me figure what I'm doing wrong! Thanks in advance1 :nod: |

I would strongly suggest dropping the boost end RPM, to closer to 30,000, and adding more of it. 60,000 you'll only ever get close too at the end of the rev range, by which time it's doing diddly squat, as the turbo would have taken over by then (very very very unlikely you'll hit 60,000rpm without getting full throttle basically).
As a good baseline, have a look at the worlds settings from Andy Moore (here) that are up on the Hobbywing site. Very good reference points to use, and what I base my settings on, although need to be a little different due to the rather grunty ProAmps motor's I'm using. HiH Ed ended up with the boost from 14000-38000. dont know how much degrees are set now for boost and turbo (marc fisher set the speedo for me) but speed was great and unexpectely still very smooth bottom power. i think it was overall very close to andys setup from the worlds in the end. used a thunderpower 4.5T geared 1:8,0 and 20deg timing on the motor with fan. weather was very cold (15°c) so motor temps were not an issue. |
I have a Hobbywing V2.1 60a esc. When you engage the throttle the motor does not spin.. If you turn the real wheel a little the motor will take off. If you unplug the sensor wire the problem goes away and it acts like an unsensored motor. Have tried 2 different motors and a few different sensor wires. Recalibrated the radio. Nothing seems to fix the problem.
Any suggestions? |

hey guys...I'm new to the Hobbywing line of speedos (coming from the 'smaller,faster' speedo camp)
how does the JustStock speedo compare to the other brand speedos? most of the locals at my track run either the tekin or LRP - so kinda of looking for a baseline as to how everyone feels the speedo does against the 'big boys' thanks kaybo |

Secondly, the second part of the name is the date, in YYMMDD style.. So it was made on the 29th Nov 2012. HiH Ed |

@cobraracing.
What is the lowest possible timing on the new hobbywing xerun motors? Reason I ask is that the old xerun motors with fixed timing bell work very well in boosted and I don't really want to have more motor timing than that. The sensorplug on the new motors is not really nicely placed imo. The old motors had the sensor to the side and the new ones goes up which isn't as efficient for sensorwire placement. |

Latest version is v3.1_121129_beta. I know the names are a little confusing, but the clues are in the name.
