I just bought 2 used 120 amp V3.1 ESC's. I read about some "Stock Braking Issues". Can anyone let me know what these are and have they been fixed? Does the new software update do anything with the v3.1's? I bought these to run stock now, but have flexibility to run mod down the road. Any help much appreciated.
We need to have a track day soon, LRH? Dave |

Does the Hobbywing Link software work on Windows10?
I have it installed and working fine on Windows7, and wanted to make sure its ok on 10 before I upgrade the o/s. |
wifi express
Can someone confirm if the following scenario is possible with the wifi express?
You are running on the track - enter the pits - from the rostrum you make connection with the esc and change parameters - you just continue your driving session? In other words: is it possible to go from a 'running esc' into 'programming mode' and go back? WITHOUT you physical touching the esc? |
I tied out the WiFi express with an older Stockspec and 3.1 1s. I could not get it out of programming mode without disconnecting my battery. When I would exit out of the app it would lock the esc. Not sure if the new XR10 is the same as I haven't connected it up yet.
After testing a V3, V3.1 1S, and a V3 Stockspec esc you will need to turn off the esc and then back on after programming. The answer is that you will need to physically touch the esc to program it. |
Hey guys,
I've been trying to use the Wifi Express on my V3.1 speedy. Followed instructions, ie connect to the wifi express via wifi settings on phone, once connected go to the app and tap on the speedy on the top right hand side of the app. When i tap on it it comes up with the message "Please confirm 1. The wifi module is correctly connected.......2. The WLAN on your iphone is connected to HW-Wifilink 3. If the throttle trigger/stick......... Then I press ok and nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. |

You picked the hobbywing link on the phone's wifi link? You entered the default 12345678 password and changed the password? You will need to relink the wifi on the phone with the new password.
I've tried changing the name of the wifi express via the app but even if i do change it to hobbywing link it doesn't seem to work. |

I also have the XR10 PRO esc. I did not have any issues using the wifi module to change the XR10's settings. I had a blast testing and tuning my esc from the drivers stand after turning a few laps on the track. http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/...psicqanckh.jpg http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/...psiemefphz.jpg |
Great to hear that the XR10 works fine. I have one in the box waiting for my new chassis to come.

http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/...sjyvx8huq.jpeg Finally, Is the module too fragile to be mounted on an off-road RC? If so then I would love to see some type of protective case.. |
