For the V2.1 ESC;

Mod - 930mod (effectively a limited version of 930stock)
Boosted Stock - 930stock
Blinky - 508 zero timing

Any difference using 12 gauge vs. 14 gauge wire? Modified, boost.

I run tq 13 on everything. Plenty for mod and stock sedan and mod 4wd buggy.

930mod and 930stock have exactly the same options.. however whilst all the options are available in the stock version, not all are available in the mod one. This is done to help protect running full stock settings on a mod motor... not advised! :lol:

Personally, I just left 930stock on the esc, and remembered to back down the settings when running mod's.

Ed's explanation is correct but i must make it more clear stock firmwsre is for stock motors 10.5T to 21.5T were you have more boost and more turbo available for stock racing .mod is for mod motors 8.5T to 3.5T which has limited boost and turbo because mod motor are extrwmely powerful as they are.I recommened if your not experienced with the software so far run mod for mod stock for stock or you will damage your esc and your motor.

Ed run stock for mod motors as he has more than 3 years experience with hobbywing so he knows the limits .

Software issues!

hey guys,
I got the Hobbywing control box for my XeRun ESC V2.1 but I'm having problems downloading the software on my computer. My windows 7 laptop keep saying it doesn't recognize the RAR file and doesn't know what app to open it with.
Can you help me figure what I'm doing wrong!
Thanks in advance1 :nod:

Try to download a program called 7zip or winrar. Both of those programs are able to unzip .rar files.

I use StuffIt Expander. Just Google ".rar" and download any free expander utility.

I loved the HW I got for my SC10B so I went with the Xtreme Stock for my B4.2. My question is how do I hook up the LCD program box to it. On my SCT esc I go to the 3 wire fan socket, but on the Xtreme do I need to go and drop the power wire from the reciever plug and hook that to the box because it uses the internal BEC?

Xtreme stock is the rx wire.
