I m posting this on behalf of a friend of mine coz nothing that we do seems to solve the problem.

My friend has been using Hobbywing Xtreme Stock combo with Hobbywing 11.5T motor for the past 2 weeks which include 1 race day. For the past 4 days he's having problem with the esc somehow loosing the turbo function, its more like its switching to sensorless mode by it self. First 2-3 laps it was fine, after that the car was just crawling, then all of the sudden the Turbo is there again. This happened on and off during 5 mins drive. The ESC and Motor's temp was normal (esc 40C ish and motor 60C ish).

What have we done so far to solve the problem:

1. Change the sensor wire (a few time already which include a new one)
2. Calibrate the throttle (set to 100% during calibrating then bump it up to full 140% EPA)
3. Reflash the 518 stock firmware (twice now)

BUT the problem is still there:confused::confused: Anyone got any more idea on what to do?

Check lipo cutout first

No you can't buy the mosfet circuit board on its own you need to send it in for repair to hobbywing .

OMFG i appear to have done it! Many, many thanks:)
More questions if you dont mind. When they talk about 224 does that replace 211 for the supercharged programme ie the way it adds timing etc or 119 as in the firmware?
Cheers, Steve.

Cheers, Steve.

It depends on what you are talking about steve, there is 224 as a usb link and 224 as speedo software.

Well to finish my 224 saga, I tried to pass the software (which is good and full) from XP to Window7, and as expected, the 224 speedo version is AWOL !!

So loaded from XP and changing values with 2.1 box.

Steve to get back to you, the reason I wanted 224 speedo, is to run my LRP cooler which is apparently better than 211 ( which is the latest version so far with 213 which is apparently very similar)

If you need to load 224, you will have to do as explain above by M7H, after all this, you will be a HW/computer wizard:p

Hobbywing XERUN 120A 1S

Hi,

this year we will have rule that will allow use of 1S LiPo with 10.5T motors (until now only 2S with 17.5T).

Maybe someone have experience with XERUN 120A 1S in WGT on 1S LiPo and can share some? Settings, firmware, what motor, ect...

Thank you!

When people talk about 224, 211, 119

They actually talk about:
224 => 101224
211 => 110211
119 => 110119

The full number you see is the date stamp.
ESC firmware 101224 is from 24 December 2010
Actually it is V3.0_101224_STOCK, the version 3 firmware, ment for stock racing, so with more timing settings possible.

The USB computer package V1.63_110310, is put online on 10 March 2011, and contains ALL officially released ESC firmwares Hobbywing ever put on the market, for ALL updatable ESC's they have. Depending on what ESC you connect, the software will give you those firmwares available for the that particular ESC.

I hope you understand now.

HW 120a v2.1 & x12 13.5 motor

Hi

can anyone help with a good fast setup for this please as i am about to ditch the speedo and go back to a GM as the GM is much quicker on its default settings. I prefer the HW as it is so smooth and no need for laptop to program it.

i have also tried HW, GM & novak ballistic motors.

I race at Aldershot which has a straight approx 45m long (feels like 70m to me)

cheers

I'm also after a good setup for the X12 13.5 but for an indoor carpet track (30m x 15m) in 1/10th touring.

I have read the previous posts and see that 224 with low boost and turbo is worth trying but it is not clear to me what sort of FDR I should be expecting to use? Sorry I'm not sufficiently up to speed with 12th rollout to understand if I should be gearing low and using the motor torque or high and letting it rev? Any thoughts 6.5? 7.2? 8? would be great.

Nick
