10.5 and 13.5 settings for indoors TC

Hi all

Was wondering if you guys could give me a hand with some settings for 10.5 and 13.5 TC indorrs on a carpet track 30m by 14m and a starting FDR?
I've just picked up an Xtreme Stock and will be rinning it with my D3 motors for the first time tomorrow.
I've upgraded to 211 firmware but seems really slow when bench testing.
Anyway - Cheers in advance

Thanks,
Michael.

Michael send me an email ,[email protected]

Played this weekend and happy with a set up tried for the 13.5 1/10 TC class here. Car stonking fast with very good acceleration!!!! Driver crap (Too fast for his ability)!

XTREME STOCK setting for 13.5 (TEAM POWERS PLUTONIUM 13.5) using a 4000 40C pack. Software 211. FDR on car was 7.4....
Using boost and turbo.

Track #4 Reversed on TFTR site. For reference.

Air temp 19C, track temp average 22C. Motor temps stayed below well 71C.

HW EXTREME settings as listed below

1 - 1
2 - 1
3 - 4
4 - 9
5 - 87.5%
6 - 100%
7 - 0%
8 - 6%
9 - 45
10 - 12
11 - *1
12 - 19
13 - 7000
14 - 0.4sec
15 - 450 (raise this value to decrease temps)

Hope this helps for any one looking for a starting point.

Cheers

Ren

Thanks Ren. What changes to this would you make for 10.5?

For 10.5 i would just turn the punch down, no.4 and take the fdr nearer 8, so smaller pinion by a couple of teeth to fight off the heat:flaming:

Angelo, I saw this posted on another forum. Is it true?

Hobbywing are very good and very popular on the Asian continent but just not on the same level as Orion. Power ratings etc etc are far higher on Orion and that keeps the temps down and motors last a lot longer and it just goes on and on. If you stuty the ratings etc you will soon realise that Orion is in another league.

No probs. I've been really surpised how much we have been able to crank it up with the 10.5. The settings are very aggresive now and changing the gearing has been the way to beat the heat and it increases the punch out of the slow stuff as well:nod:

Settings worked a treat. Cheers guys
Motor was coming off at 50 degrees with plenty of punch and good top end. Went with an FDR of 7.6. Might add a tad timing to the motor next time out.

Thanks again

Paul

Hi Chris
All the designing from software to hardware is done by michael and michael only no one else is involved or no one else has the skill or the expertice to do the work anyway .so id let you work out the rest.

Thats like saying Novarossi is not in the same league as RB but novarossi is the designer and the manufacturer .

That statement has come from a user or a distributor not Orion themselves as i know Orion are very proud of there involvement with Hobbywing and make no secret of it .

Now why did I think Oople when I saw Chris' original post... oh yes, a couple of Orion sponsored guys pushing the product. No bad thing, but they do need to get their facts straight... (just posted on there Oople thread)

If you went with Rens settings there is no timing left to add as you can only go to 64 degrees total timing. You then have to play with settings 10, 13, 14 and 15.
