you could try the new cockinear motors, come and ask at race control this friday, or ask on the other thread "xerun v2.0 brushless esc discussion thread"
thats got a few more followers than here, plus cherry is back from his ban, hes a maritime boy and knows plenty.

Hi,

Can anyone give me a good setting for a new 13.5 pro-stock GM motor. (GM97294)

I just got it after depleting a 13.5 Speed Passion Feigo V1 motor yesterday!

I would like a setting for a technical indoor track, so not too gutsy/torquey at low speed for the infield and more revvy and fast on the straight.

Also, any tips for keeping top end speed and taking away torque on a 10.5, so it doesnt heat up the TC rubber tires on a carpet surface too much? - The settings i ran yesterday were good with a Novak 10.5ss but the car would start to oversteer during the run, due to the rears overheating with the loading the tires had. I run an Xray 008.

Hobbywing PM sent !

Am taking mine to WLRC on Sunday to play with 518, should be good judging by the 422, is good as have liked running DDRS slightly lower and using the SC punch etc, will be nice to be able to get the punch 'tamed' a little with DDRS at 7 and still not lose the Supercharger.

Will post results on Sunday evening (UK time am still Jet Lagged lol)

I use the Trinity cans, (Fantom ION & Ion 2) and have found them to be VERY robust and VERY revvy, they seem to be the better of the motors that I own, my Novak SS's are great but the ION's just 'feel' better and seem to run somewhat cooler, though have to watch the revs coz they do rev VERY High lol.

run a higher value for item 15 and lower drrs with a lower fdr should give you less torque

Default HW 120a and 8.5t Cat SX

I have recently decided to starting running offroad . I bought a Cat SX and a HW 120a 8.5t combo. I updated the firmware to the new 518. As you can expect I need help setting up the esc to start.

Info I am looking for is ESC soft setup for a 8.5t xerun with the supercharger soft installed. I am also looking of a FDR, as I bought the CAT second hand; I am making a parts order and want go get a selection of spurs and pinions.

I also have a MI4 with a 13.5 speed passion v1. Same question, FDR and esc set up for the supercharger soft on a speed passion LPF, running rubber tarmac.

Thanks

for the MI4 i would suggest reading the supercharger documemt and use the suggested settings there as a starting guideline.
For the CAT i would rather you use the 205g mod software. Reasoning is the supercharge has plenty punch that would make the Cat a handful, the 205g will be much more driveable and consistant for offroad.

Default VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER

Hey guys,

Just used my new HW V2 speedy.. it went awesome.

Straight out of the box, i used the setup that was downloaded onto it by CobraRacing.. Cheers bloke, done well..

In saying that, i have no idea how to change any parameters yet, but it is almost spot on.. i am getting some high motor temps 100 degC.. but ran all day.

Didnt beat the Tekin driver, but that was driver skill that let me down, we battled for like 10 of 15 laps. My concentration let me down.

Double thumbs up guys.. a third of the price of a tekin

Wow this xerun esc is the real deal. My word, its impressive. I had a few guys come upto me and ask what setting I had on the car, as it was a missile on a fast sweeper onto/and on the straight. I had the timing punch turned down a bit to -3 and the rest on full with a GM 13.5 motor (stock timing).

I think 1 car (which was a Tekin) could stay with me on the straight and he is a friend that likes to have everything on the limit of safety. Its incredible that this is a 60A xerun with 518 software costing under £70.00 with an LCD programmer, that matches a Tekin costing 3 times as much!

The only gripe was the brakes, but from high speed they're actually not bad. Its when I go slowly from tight corner to tight corner it lacks a lot.

I qualified 2nd in A. Not tons of people at the club meeting but in the final I pushed a bit harder and drove like a complete idiot. In the gaps where I didnt crash, I was faster than the leader, but by then I was already a lap behind due to my stupid 'go for it' driving.

Default 422 Software

Hey guys tossing up between getting speedpassion or hobbywing speedy. With the new supercharge software is there any difference between the two. If so which one to get. I was looking at the new speedpassion pro stock speedy (the adjustable timing one), or should i wait for the hobbywing one to come out.

Cheers
