On the battery pack should be a normal, black, 3-pin servo plug one the end of the red+black wires. Connect that to your LiPo charger and the white, 3-pin plug to the balance port on your LiPo charger. Don't charge at anything above 2.3 Amps and for extended battery life, better to charge at around 1.5-2.0 Amps. I usually charge mine at 1.7 Amps.
Is that what you meant? |
Well, maybe my charger doesnt charge via a plug like that, is there an adapter?
I have a Hyperion EOS 610i Duo. I habe the balancer plug, but the only plug I have that the lipo will fit in is for the firmware updating. |
How do you charge your rx battery in that case?:weird: Doesn't it also have the same style black, 3-pin servo plug on it? What about the battery you were using before you bought the LiPo, didn't that also have a black, 3-pin servo plug on it?:( I'm a bit lost now, wondering how you have previously been charging your rx/tx packs?

The M11x has a battery charger that just plugged into it. Im sure I cant use that same charger that is used to charge the pack that comes with the M11x right?
|
Nope, definitely not. Do not charge LiPo packs through the port in the tx. You should always, 100% of the time be balance charging any lithium type battery.
How do you charge your rx packs? What plug is on them? |
I run electric.
|
Oh, I guess I need this

That explains it (you running electric). My charger came with the 2nd item you linked, the multi-everything adapter banana plug connector thingy. Love it!! Makes it so easy to charge anything coz no need to look for a different connector, they're all there, all of the time.

After reading many many many many many pages in this thread and eurus thread I think I'm going to go with the m11x. From what I read it seems the m11x may be a little easier to navigate. Plus, and this the big one, I don't like the removable module cause I just know sooner or later I'm going to bump it or something. I've seen several local racers using the m11.
Either way I feel its going to be a big improvement over my first generation spektrum 2.0 I bought in 2004. I've always been good enough to run fourth or fifth. Maybe this will make me more competitve, that, and learning how to actually setup my truggy. Hahahah. |
M11x does not have a module, only M11 does.

One less thing to worry about on a $400 radio. |
Finally went back to an M11x after a 4 month stint with the Futaba 4PKS, Got to drive it today, same car, same track layout, same setup, less mistakes and more consistent. Something about the 4PKS that I could not grasp, tried all adjustments still was making lots of mistakes with it. Either way, Im happy again. 4PKS is an awesome radio, just wasn't for me.

Sorry if this has already been asked or covered etc. I'm thinking of changing to the M11x from my current DX3R. Anyone else done the same etc?
I'm a club racer that races off road 1/10th electric. I was orginally going to go back to a KO Helios EX-10, but Lee Martin recommend the Sanwa. Other friends of mine run Sanwa kit, but stick radios. A few people I know have had problems, but I think it's been traced to the Spektrum module/RXs etc. |
