92451vs 92744
after reading many pages on this thread and reviewing the airtronics website, I'm confused as to why people are referring to the 92744 as the old 92451 (Rx 451). From what I see from airtronics, these are 2 separate receivers; 92744 is what comes with the M11x and it does not take advantage of SSR technology which, from what I've read, is only 2.5ms faster than M11x w/92744. In a country outside of the US, is the 92744 the same as 92451 (rx-451) but not Rx-451r?

Airtronics 92744 = Sanwa RX-451
Airtronics 92451 = Sanwa RX-451R |
[QUOTE=BOLISARIO;8122425]How's Airtronics' customer support/service? I'm thinking of swtiching from Futaba(sucky CS) to Airtronics. Plus they are also located in Cali.[/QUOTE
i have no problems with my radio however, before i bought it i had a question that was not answered on the forum regarding voltage cutoff. so i called customer service. the phone was answered very quickly. the gentlemen i spoke with was friendly and had no problem answering my questions.when i hung up i felt confident that buying a product from airtronics would be a good choice. |

Hi-
can someone please measure your M11x battery area. I need width, length and depth. The depth is specifically important because I'm having a high capacity 2cell LiPo made and I need to know the maximum depth the M11x can accept. The largest lipo I've found so far that's pre made is the #LRP-79990 which is a 3600mah 2cell LiPo at 102.5 x 54.5 x 11 The primary measurement I need is how deep the battery compartment is, with the battery lid on. If I could get a couple people to measure this on their M11x, I'd be most greatful. Max Amps- Jason said he can make a 2500mah 2cell liPo which are the 5c quick charge cells which will take a 12.5 amp balanced quick charge. The battery will be about 10mm deep, and if the M11x will permit- depth wise-he can make a 5000mah 2cell flat LiPo pack battery- which I could probably charge once every season :) and the weight will- or should still be less than the original non lipo battery. Thank you- I just need the measurements of the M11x battery area depth because I ordered my M11x from A Main Hobbies and it will not arrive here until later this week, and I'd like to order my custom made LiPo as soon as I have the proper measurements. Preferably in mm but I can always translate inches if needed. Note: If a few different people would like to post your measurements- this would help confirm and verify the exactness and certaintly of all said measurements. Thank all of you for all of your help thus far. It was this threads help, clarity of writing and expressing your positive experiences which help me to choose the all new M11x. How Much Energy Does The M11x Consume ?

This Lipo fits for sure. I don't think you would need any more than this capacity. You could go several race days on a charge.
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Balancer-Plug I really wouldn't bother going much more on capacity. At only 87grams this is quite a lightweight LiPo :) Thank you for posting this information and link. I know several people are using this model LiPo in their M11x. Max Amps can make me a 2500mah 2cell LiPo which I can Charge at 5c which is 12.5 Amps. I use a 40amp Balance Charger-CellPro PowerLab 8. I do like quick charge. And the LiPo's do not even get warm when charging at 30amps(I use the Thunder Power 40c & 50c 5000mah & 5200mah 2cell & 3cell). I've not tried the full 40amps yet because I just update the Firmware which is what has now permit the 40amp charging. Well, even my LiPo's can only accept 30amps maximum. Time for new LiPo's :) PS. Thank you for this Link. I wonder if anyone knows how many mah per minute the M11x requires to operate. Or the measurement of energy required to operate the M11x while it's being used. I would like to calculate exactly how long a 2300mah 2cell LiPo battery can power a M11x if being used continuously. I would like to understand the technical aspect of this energy consumption. If you or anyone knows how much energy the M11x requires to operate, and furthermore- knows the equation to calculate how long a 2300mah 2cell LiPo would power the M11x, I'm most interested, and please do post this information along with full details of the equations you used. Thank you :) |

Will the regular m11 work with these recievers? Just looking for a more comfortable radio
thats the reason why im still running the old m11, because i like the size of the spektrum micro receiver. my combo is; m11 with spektrum pro module & spektrum micro receiver. do the antenna mod. run a lipo it saves ALOT of weight, and i find using the neck strap is awesome as it feels like your holding nothing |
Camera Neck & Shoulder Straps- Very Comfortable Indeed.
Jason-
Which neck strap are you using? I'm thinking of using a Photography Camera neck strap. Camera Stores sell very nice and very comfortable neck straps which have a very soft area where the neck or shoulder strap would touch ones neck. I'm not sure the M11 or M11x would accept a photography camera neck or shoulder strap, But it's certainly worth a try. Especially if one is considering allowing their neck to hold the entire weight of the Transmitter. Which I realize is not excessive, but after a full day of practice, even a lightweight transmitter can become quite heavy :)

although its not on my neck the entire time, just when im running the car,
using the neckstrap takes alot of weight off your hand, and personally it feels alot better in my hand. and it doesnt irritate my neck at all and the m11 is heavier than the m11x im using the SANWA neck strap :). its nice and thick so it sits around the neck nicely. i believe this is the one im using http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_i...oducts_id=9960 there should be a tab/hole next to the switch where you attach the strap. |
what bags are you guys using to store your m11/x?

Thank you :) Can't really look at it that way.... I've run qualifying , practice, and two 30-min mains while having a lot of capacity left. I just throw them on the charger at 1c for about 10-15 minutes at the start of every club weekend. |

yeah i saw that one on rcmart, they are out of stock and i haven't seen it forsale or instock anywhere else :flaming:
http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_i...ducts_id=18156 For the Lipo I would stick with the LRP 3600 battery, it has more than enough capacity, no need to have a battery specifically made for it |
I have a question about the M11X. Is there a way to make it so that the backlight always stays on like the Futaba 3pks? I do a lot of night driving and prefer to have the light on at all times.
