Excellent LiPo For The M11x For An Excellent Price. 2cell 2500mah 5c quick charge ok.
I placed my order today for a Max Amps 2cell 2500mah 5c(12.5amp) quick charge safe- LiPo for my brand new M11x. The dimentions of this made to order LiPo = 103mm Length x 51mm Width x 10mm Thick.
The battery area of the M11x is exactly 110mm Length x 60mm Width x 15mm-17mm Deep. This Max Amps LiPo which I ordered Directly from Jason(most often answers the phones when you call Max Amps)- only cost apx $36.50 thirty six dollars and fifty cents + five dollars for Priority USPS 2-3 Day Shipping. The tatal with tax was apx $42.oo fourty two dollars :) Part of the reason this LiPo cost so little is that Max Amps got rid of their membership program which use to give up to 20% discount to members who spent a certain minimum amount of money. Now- we all get 20%- 30% off because Max Amps lowered all their prices on batteries apx 20% and up to 30%. I've been getting to know my M11x. Reading the owners manual over and over again. So far, I've adjust the throttle spring tension to the least tension. I've adjust the steering wheel spring tension to the least tension as well. I've also limit how far the steering wheel turns to 75% left and 75% right- the distance rather than the full 100%. With proper calibration to my buggy- the RC will still turn the full range right- and the full range left as well. I very much like this adjustment in particular. But I've not yet driven the buggy with this new radio. I will first learn every possible adjustment- before I attempt to use this radio for the first time. I'm now looking for a radio case and or bag. I called Common Sense RC, they offer very nice radio cases for excellent prices, but do not yet offer a case for the M11 nor M11x models. Though Bruce did say they will most certainly begin to stock these very nice model cases for the M11x if enough people request a case for these models. These really nice cases sell for apx 30.oo dollars. Does anyone know where I may purchase the Airtronics radio case? Unless you know of a nice radio case which you highly recommend. I thank each and every one of you for all your help thus far, and the questions you continue to help me with. I very much appreciate it. |

Very nice little M11x Transmitter Case For Quite A Nice Price.
Thank you very much for this link. I'm going to do a little research on this model and will very likely purchase this radio case. The price is great. And I certainly like that it's small and seems to come with a shoulder strap for carrying the radio and case on ones shoulder. I'll see if I can find any reviews on this case, Though even if I cannot- I'm quite sure I'll buy it anyway. Thank you again. I very much appreciate your responding to my call for help and advice in this matter.

The normal steering and other trims are adjustable from 1 to 10 step trim settings. This is done in the Key Assignments section.See page 52 and 53 of the instructions.
Sub trim is just to help get your steering servo horn centered when you install your servos for the first time. Sometimes the servo horn dont quite line up perfectly with center of your steering because of the teeth on the spline. This is what Sub Trim is for so you can readjust the servos center position with the servo horn. Then you use the steering trim switches to do the fine trim adjustments in 1 step increments, not sub trim. Thank you for the info. |
Happy to of been some help :D

I am most certain the 5C refers to the DISCHARGE rate and not the charging rate.
I charge my 2300mah pack at a leisurely pace of 1C (2.3A), patience is a virtue... 42 bucks? I can't afford it... :(

5c = 5 x 2.5amps = 12.5 amp charge rate safe.
A quick charge capable LiPo cell was one of my minimum requirements in buying a Transmitter LiPo battery for my M11x.
I've spoke to Jason at Max Amps three different times in one week with different questions about the LiPo cells they use specifically for transmitters. One question I verify with each of the three phone calls to Jason was how many amps I may charge the LiPo cells at. Jason, after some basic math, calculate these cells accept a 12.5 amp charge rate. Jason did mention that I must use the Balance plug as well, and to only charge at the high rate of 12.5amps while balance charging. Jason did mention to keep an eye on the thin wires used and to make sure the wires do not get too hot. In which case simply charge at a lower amperage such as ten amps- should suffice. And Jason clarify that the 2cell 2500mah (Flat Pack- Transmitter) LiPo cell is 5c Quick Charge Safe. And he specifically said the cells can safely accept a 12.5amp balanced charge rate. PS. The only thing I'm certain of- is what I'm told- and what I trust to be true based of reliable information. Jason is the Max Amps Tech Support- I do trust everything Jason tells me- unless my direct experience proves otherwise. In which case I would contact Jason right away and ask about such found conflicting results. Note: But I most certainly appreciate your ability to question incredibly amazing and seeming impossible information. But keep in mind, a 5c quick charge LiPo is quite rapidly becoming the norm, and the Max Amp Green Series can accept up to a 15c charge rate- which is up to 75amps. I can give you the direct link to such a battery if you wish. Just let me know.

Been into RC on and off for 20 years, all of those years I have had full Futaba electronics and controllers, from twin sticks, to the Magnum FM JR and then PCM 1024 (still miss that one). After a few years break from the hobby I picked up a 3PKS and never looked back until now; I have made my first non-Futaba purchase...
Just got my M11X in the mail and I can't wait to get home and work through all the functions. Just from seeing it out of the box I can say the build quality of it is on par with or even better than my 3pks (which I still love and will keep solely for my 966 now). I never held one until now but reading through all these pages (and many on the M11 thread as well) gave me enough confidence that I would love this thing when I finally got it (thanks for all the input I was able to find here ). Also I think it just looks like how a true professional radio should look, as most of the radios now are beginning to look more and more like child's toys (4PK, DX3R, etc.). No offence as I know some don't like the looks of the M11 and such, but it's just what comes to my mind. I LOVE the telemetry function of the Spektrum DX3 controllers but the telemetry receivers are larger and I need a smaller one as I will be ordering the Xray T3'11 and space for electronics is extremely cramped on that car. Also I find that controller looks and feels more like something out of a Tyco RTR kit than a $300 radio system. The telemetry is the only thing that would draw me to the Spektrums and after research I determined it just was not that important of a feature to have over the M11X. Also the fit and finish of the Spektrums leave much to be desired compared to other manufacturers. I definitely understand the appeal of it for other users though as I took many hard looks at it before I decided to move up to the M11X. There is one question I have though; is there an SSR low-profile servo like the 94746M? I know I would have to get the 92451 receiver but I would like to know because in the B4 the space is super tight and I would like to run a low-pro in there instead of the BLS351 that I have wedged in there at the moment, it's almost as bad at the other guy that had to grind down his ball-cups to make the servo fit. |
There's a new low profile SRG servo in the works. Same size, and relatively the same specs, but the new servo will feature a brushless motor and have the super response feature. Mind you, this will only be extremely noticeable when using the servo with the 92451 (451R) receiver when the radio is in the SHR mode for that channel.

You can try the SRG-BL or the SDX-801...

Thank you all for the servo recomendations. :D
I just noticed a few more things though: 1. When I start the transmitter, the page on the menu screen that I am on curently blinks, is there any way to stop that? Like if I am on Battery screen or the EXP screen the tab at the top that shows what page you are on keeps blinking. 2. The charger comes with 2 charging tabs, what is the other one for? I noticed it fits in my 3PK but I don't know if thats what it is to be used for. Thank you. |

M11x Radio Case + Shipping- Yikes.
Excellent find. I did not see this one you most recently post until you post this new thread up. Thank you :)
I must say, my only delay is the 20.oo + Dollar Shipping To The USA. I've been looking to find these low cost radio cases, or any radio case, closer to home- even within the USA, but have no luck yet. 15.oo dollars for a radio case with the foam cutout is an excellent price. But when I add the 20.oo dollar shipping and arrive at 35.oo dollars- I begin to search for what is available for the 35.oo price range. I realize I will still have the shipping cost in addition to the 35.oo, but shipping is usually apx 5.oo dollars or maybe 8.oo dollars max for Priority USPS 2-3day shipping within the USA. In the end, I may very well end up buying this 15.oo radio case you've post. I'm only looking at all of my options/choices before I purchase anything. I've also been thinking about buying a camera case built into a back pack. Samys Camera sells very nice back packs which when you open, have adjustable size(velcro) pockets which would fit the M11x quite well. And shipping would be zero because I could pick up in person becasue they are so close to my home. I would like to point out- I'm not looking for the lowest cost Transmitter Case, but rather a nice, well made transmitter case. Price is secondary to quality. Price is important, but this is a 400.oo radio we are protecting when transported from home to track and back to home again. The Airtronics M11x Transmitter Case is quite expensive at almost 70.oo dollars, but I've not been able to find one in stock anywhere. Does anyone know where one may be ordered online? Any insight will be much appreciated. I'm quite tempted to just purchase the Airtronics M11x Radio Case If I can find one in stock. Any help will be very much appreciated.
