Where can I find the Airtronics M11x Steering Wheel ??

MAD_KAW 08-26-2009 08:21 PM

I really want this radio for my new crawler, but, does anyone know if you can run the 4th channel as a 3 position for dig or rear steer. Manual looks like you can mix it in w/ throttle and brake but I want to mix it up w/ channel 1 for r. steer and use the little dial for 3rd chan. for the dig. If you can't, then I will need to go w/ the Futaba 4PK but would rather own this.

Well after about 2 weeks of playing with the M11X non stop I pretty much have mastered it. It is one heck of a radio. Range is awesome, scrolling through the menu's is a breeze once ya just learn where everything is and what its functions are.. I am really in love with this radio now.. Its going to get used in my Hpi Baja 5T.. Hostile Baja Fest is only a week or so away so I will be sporting my new M11X there..

I have gone over this thread and similar ones about the M11X and I am still somewhat confused. I hope some of you who actually knows can help me clear this one up. The question is:

Is there two different versions of the M11X - a US and a Japan version - or is there ever going to be?

I am about to buy one at rcmart in Asia but if this is a less powerful version of a US version I will of course spend the extra and get the best on the market.

Thanks!

The Japan version does have a lower power rating just due the gov regulations. I would buy the US version just to be safe.

Pass you soon...

And you are 100% sure about that fact that this difference exists?

The reason for me asking is that it will cost me more than $100 to order it in US because of Danish customs.

Dont get it at RC Mart if you buy it there and run into any sort of problems you WILL NOT be able to send it back to Airtronics for warranty or repairs. You will have to buy the US version. I also hear that the Japan Version isnt exactly the same as the US Version. Check your Pm's

Japapn version is not as powerful. The regulations for US are different because of the likelyhood of outside interference.

Thanks for all the replies. I have found that the one they sell at rcmart has:

Model: M11X
Transmitting Frequency: 2.4GHz
Modulation: FHSS-3
Output Power: 100MW
Power Supply: 7.2V 1500mAH
Weight: 785g (with Battery)

Has anyone found what the output is on the US version?

Same as US version, just the name plate is using 'Sanwa'.

The Japanese version performs flawlessly. You don't have to worry. My japanese counterparts get the same range, response, and battery life as my US version.

You at Kadena huh? Went to high school there and also was stationed there as well. That's where I first got into RC back in the 80's. Hows the racing there now?

I thought about buying the HK version. I think some HK shops sell the Japan version as well. Not worried about warranty.

Question for you guys, what's the depth of the M11X? Just wondering how deep of a transmitter box I would need to fit one. Thanks..

Yeah, i'm at kadena. Racing...ha what racing? The only off-road track we had out here was shut down. So all we have left is on-road. We are trying to build a track at Courtney for us though.
