m11x receiver

Ha guys, I was getting ready to order another receiver for my m11x and now I see there are 2 different ones. I went to the airtronics website to find info. but all they have is a picture(airtronics website sucks by the way). Can anyone tell me the difference between the 92744 and the 451R. Not sure which 1 to order.

Has anyone tried using analog servos with this system? Mine is Sanwa M11X with RX451 receiver. I have set it to NOR on steering channel. When I switch ON everything the servo is buzzing and the body is vibrating in high frequency (ie: like its still on SHR mode) and the movement is not smooth and after a while I can feel the servo is heating up. I tried this with a Kyosho hi torq servo and Sanwa ERG-VX hi torq servo, both has that problem BUT the Kyosho is the worst.

I have check the instruction manual and it clearly says both ANALOG and DIGITAL servos can be use in NOR mode. :confused::confused::confused:

I m using this for my Kyosho DBX VE with Orion Brushless Experience 2 using 3 Cells Lipo. When I tried back using the stock AM radio system the problem is gone.

On the other note, if I m using a mix of Analog and Digital servos in a car, can I just select one to NOR and the other channel to SHR?

yes,you can chose each channel wicht mode to work!

With the R-model it is possible to get faster response time, especially with the new super response servos. The manual says that it should not be used with analog servos. So if you want to use analog servos buy the standard version.

92744=rx-451
92451=rx-451r
airtronic-sanwa

that it man!!

So they are basically the same. I see the 92744 cost $119 and the 92451 cost $139. I run only digital servo's(JR & HITEC) Will place my order tomorrow. just making sure I get the prefered 1.

killermmn 04-11-2010 12:19 PM

if you run digital get a 92451 or rx-451r!!

Ok .... I have found the correct way to change the mode from NOR to SHR vice versa. When ever you want to change the mode you need to rebind it again with the rx. If your last mode was SHR with that receiver,then you want to change it to NOR mode in the radio, the rx is actually still in the SHR mode. So first thing you need to do is set it to NOR on the radio then rebind it with the rx, then the rx will be in the NOR mode. This thing also applies when you want to change back to SHR mode.

I tested this with my problems that I posted above and it really solve the buzzing high frequency vibration that I had before with the analog servo.

This is tested with SANWA M11X version, I m not too sure for the Airtronics M11X version....they should be the same I guess.

is it stated any where in the manual that you need to rebind after changing the servo mode? i changed mine from NOR to SHR after binding and i thought the servo buzzing is normal for digital servos... will try to rebind as you mentioned...

No its not on the manual, digital servos do buzz a bit that's normal, my problem was using Analog servos in NOR mode. The servo would buzz like crazy (different buzz than normal digital one, the body is vibrating and after a while you can feel the body is warming up) coz it can't keep up with the faster frame rate. So I thought it must be still in SHR mode though I already changed it to NOR mode on the radio. After binding it in NOR mode, now the buzz has gone, and truly in NOR mode.

Digital servos do buzz but not analog servos unless its binding somewhere.

ok thanks! :nod:

binding question

I just picked a second receiver for my new buggy. After trying to bind it it turns out that it works, but it will also work the servos in truggy also. I made sure that i had used the correct model # for the buggy. SO basically, when on model 2, i can turn on the receiver for model 1 and can that at the same time while the radio is set to model 2. Is this normal or did i do something wrong?
thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong. That is normal. You always have to double check your model numbers before you run. Only Spektrum has what is called model match, where it only controls one RX for each model programmed.
