Sitting on my counter playing with full range to semi full to back and forth to simulate going thru s turns. The 94930 seems much faster then the .10 rating I would almost compare it to .07-.08 speed servo. The real difference I saw was in time I turned the wheel to time servo turned. While it was not like going from a standard servo to a high speed servo it really looked and felt instant! I am looking forward to track testing.I plan on putting it in a tc where I had a .08 speed servo to really see if I can feel a difference. I figure if I am smacking pipes in every corner that it really is alot faster( considering I am going from a .08 servo to a .10 servo) Will keep everyone informed.

I bought one of each to try out.(pretty spendy so I was not about to invest right off bat a total swap). To me I am going to have to see a real noticeable difference to change over(200.00 for servo and 135 for receiver is alot to invest).

That was my concern, $$$ . If there not worth it, for what iam doing, i will get some rx451r high voltage recievers & servos to match. Leigh

I am 99.9 percent sure you can use high voltage servos with standard m11x receiver.

ganymede 03-12-2010 06:23 PM

actually, i am thinking of getting sanwa/airtronic servos for my 1/8 buggy throttle and steering but couldn't find any good reviews, anyone using them with good results?

seems like most recommend hitec servos but i doubt sanwa/airtronics are that "bad"... anyone?

make that 100%, all HVS (ZS and ZV) servos will work on 451 and 451R receiver

here the page in japanese:
http://www.sanwa-denshi.co.jp/servo-01.html

here the translation from google:

● High Voltage
(7.4V) for
※ 7.4V corresponding to the receiver
The RX-451R and RX-451 model two
Is
● Speed Type
● Digital Servo
● Double bearing bearing
● Metal Gear Specifications
● A hybrid used gear
● Coreless Motor
● Arumihitoshinku (BLACK) equipped

i know the translation sucks, but at least better than none... :D

if you fried ur servos, u can sue google... ;)

Anyplace in the US cheaper than hobby people for the new SRG servos?

What's the latest on the stock 451 receiver? can it handle 2s lipo direct? On the hobby people page it says it can, but here the opinion is no?

jinxed 03-12-2010 10:11 PM

Since global hobby is the exclusive distributor for Airtronics and they own hobby people.I do not see you finding it cheaper anywhere. And the m11x receiver and the new ssr receiver will both handle lipo direct 2 cell.

leebrushless 03-12-2010 11:25 PM

My RX451 receiver is listed by sanwa as 4.8 to 6v only in the paper work enclosed with my sealed inbox extra purchased unit.

Rx451R is suposed to be 7.4v lipo compatable.
See here for some info http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...w-m11x-18.html

There seems to be alot of miss info on the retailers web sites, mainly the HK ones. Leigh

PS: Would be nice if sanwa / airtronics had a decent web site where we could find the correct spec's.

jinxed 03-13-2010 06:32 AM

I have an e-mail directly from Airtronics that says both work with lipo.

Noise Supression capacitor

Not sure if this forum is the right place for this inquiry so I alologize in advance if I'm in the wrong place.

I just recieved my new m11x / 92744 rx and while reading the rx manual I saw that installation calls for a noise supression capacitor when installing in an electric vehicle. Is this necessary with the newer brushless motors on the market?

I can't find info on this anywhere so I'm hoping it's outdated info.

In my heli the futaba reciever is practically touching the motor and I dont have any extra capacitors installed?

Answer to above

Reply to question above from airtronics.

A noise capacitor really isn't necessary with most current ESC's and brushless motors. However, it is suggested to keep the receiver and antenna as far away from the ESC and motor as possible.

safe??

I've been following this thread and all I have read have been helpfull..I just want to confirm...I am now using HVS Sanwa servos and RX 451 rcvr. And a 7.4v LiPo bat..without a regulator to bring voltage down, will it ruin the RX 451 rcvr?????????

Receiver problems

Has anyone had problems with the 451 receiver? I have two receivers that don't work properly. Work ok on the table but as soon as you put the car on the track glitches start. With the first one I raced 1/10th IC without problems but as soon as I changed 1/12th carpet the problems started. My third receiver is a the new 451R and so far so good.

Racer from the same club has three broken receivers. Same problem in all of them. Practically no reseption. Hardly able to bond. We have tried to change the antenna wire. I have also tried different electrics. We are not the only ones with these problems. Very strange. We are electric on-road racers. 1/12th and 1/10th.

Hi guys and gals under FH3 mode you can't select between 2 channels and 4 channels right? Anyone experienced this?
I can't get mine to change either. Maybe I should ask airtronics. I have asked two questions on their contact form. It takes about a day or two to get an email answer. Not too bad I guess.

Well I was gonna post the contact form link here but apparently I'm not allowed....it's the contact link at the bottom of the airtronics dot net page.

When I get an answer I'll post back. I figure it's not hurting anything but I'm no engineer.
