Motor Testing and Comparisons

Hey guys. I don't have enough to buy a bunch of motors, but I might have enough for maybe 2. I need help deciding on which motor/motors to get. Here are the brands I'm looking at.
- ORCA BLITREME 3
- R! Wurks V30
- Fantom Helix v2
- Team Power V5S (I'm leaning away from this one because it's just a rebadged Surpass V6 and they are not even trying to hide it)
- Maclan MMR V4
- Muchmore Fleta ZX v3
- Bust Sonic (not ROAR approved, but it's made in Japan)

--- Actinium has many design differences. It just took 4 podium lockouts at Northern California onroad Championship ....along with the offroad stock wins. It also just won Pro10 Euro Stock on the weekend

I’d personally go with the Orca and Fantom as these two brands dont seem to get exposure atound these parts like the other brands. Give something new a chance to shine just like you did with the Surpass. The Fantom is a good motor. It’s been across my bench for a once over. I haven’t tried an Orca yet. Its on my list to try.

I have one more to add. I just saw it in another thread, and it reminded me of it.
- Turnigy TrackStar (It doesn't appear to be ROAR legal)

So, I have one vote each for the Actinium, Team Powes, and ORCA.
I've reached out to all of these companies to see it I could get a discount on their motors, to help me get more motors, and none of them got back to me. I guess I will have to pay full pop and only get one motor. Bummer!

You are basically doing what Joe (another forum) has done for lipos and these companies should be sending you motors to test free of charge. I know due to mass production and some of the motors being from lets say 1 factory in China, they'll pick 1 or 2 for inspection and the rest will just go as if they were all tested. I enjoyed when you tested my motor and was 100% honest about it and imagine if the factory had done the rotor like I mentioned to you along with it being a larger diameter than others, boy I could've used cheaper magnets and gotten probably over 2000gauss just for bragging rights rofl. If one day I get back to it, I'll be sending you motors and probably an industrial type tester tat will allow you to test any turn motor.

That would be great! Has it been used at all? I want to make sure it receives a fair test. Any excessive heating over 130 degrees might weaken the rotor strength.
