i trust life batteries in a transmitter more than I do lipo. Too easy to accidentally run transmitter batteries too low. Just plug the charger into the side of the radio.
so that futaba charger just plugs into the 10px and charges any 2s life battery? How does it balance charge the battery?

The only real advantage of the USB port is that you can find aftermarket wireless charging systems.

Never had to balance charge any of my transmitter batteries and never had issues.

Never say never. That you do not face issues does not mean no one will not face any issues. As a fact, I have a LiFe receiver pack with one bad cell that must be balanced charged. But LiFe can be abused much more and yet balanced is still a wiser choice. If there is a balance cable then you need to take out the battery and connect it to a balanced charger. The original Futaba LiFe and LiPo batteries have a complete BMS circuit inside the case. (balancer and over/under voltage protection)

That is almost the question of the day on many Futaba groups, the answer is no because the 10PX has totally different settings that a model copy will not work. No model file is exchangeable. Weird enough you would expect someone would have programmed a translator

The R404SBS-E has a note that says:

Never use the R404SBS-E in gas or nitro powered models.
Any idea why? Why would antenna make sure a difference?

Not the same question. Those threads are about choice. My question is why would the manufacturer make such a direct statement? Is there a risk of fire or explosion - that's the way the statement comes across.

As you could read, the statement is just wrong and I do not why they write it in that way. Basically receivers in a gas car are more closed in by the chassis and more often close to the engine. That can affect the range and because tracks for gas cars are mostly larger you can face range issues although many people say they have no issues.
Electric racing (for sure in Asia) is mostly done on small tracks so no long range is needed.

Thanks a lot. I searched for bad outcomes of people using electric receivers in gas cars and found nothing.

An out of control gas car is more dangerous than an electric?

There is a tank of flammable liquid on board.
And if it crashes into fertilizer in OKC...

OK, so I bought the 10PX, 2 month ago and noticed that that the clock is not accurate, in 2 months it's already 15 minutes ahead.
I also have the 7PX and the clock runs accurate from the first day I set it up for years now.
Did anyone else notice this?

If others did notice this is not an issue, it should not happen that much. I would contact the shop or a Futaba service center to get it fixed.
