Rody VS Racing Engines - Onroad Motors

This.
Also, Picco had a reputation for tunning and carb issues in my racer circle several years back. I didin't care to find out if that has been eliminated and have just bough Nova stuff for many years. The only bad part is that their support is weak. I emailed them 5 times with no response and finally called Italy last night and spoke to a cute sounding gal. She quickly helped me with replacement parts I needed on some older engines I have. My Italian and hers were different.. even though our dialects were different, we were able to understand each other very well and I was able to get what I needed.

We only blow plugs here in our Novarossi's if we run it way too lean or use sh1t fuel!! Not sure what you are doing to them Ralph!! I haven't personally blown a B line plug in any of my Ielasi Tuned novarossi engines both 12 or 21.

I have invested in an EBIS machine to give this service to my customers. The big advantage is that it is silent and does not use fuel.
I want to wait a little more before drawing any final conclusions because I cannot draw my conclusions on only a few results. So a little more patience.
I will be present at the coming 1/8th scale on-road IFMAR World Championships 2017 at Monteux(France) where I have some drivers using my VS Racing engines and where we have applied the EBIS on some engines.

fuel is good byrons its the leaning out that does it I'm just saying they are not as forgiving the nova plug as like the os. u go lean for a sec with nova and it blows at least with os its more forgiving...u know here in the usa in summers weather is crazy and in a 45 min main the weather can change in a second so sometimes its not our fault that she goes lean....like I said at least the os more forgiving but there is the other problem I don't like os plug does not just screw right in u have to use alittle force to catch the thread to start it and that means your changing the thread pattern and when ever u do that your definitely letting alittle air escape I understand its such a small amount but in my head it bothers me!!

Last I had 2 of the new JP engines but they had a very tight piston even this break-in process could go through.
I have one tip. The external power supply is for the stepper motor, mount a current meter in one of the power lines to meassure the needed power. The current will turn lower during the process so you can determ the tigthness and the moment of breaked in.

You will not be disapointed. For sure on on OS and Novarossi the results are very good. Some claim it does not work on Picco and XRD but with all the results over the world it seems more like a bad engine or just product bashing.

Thanks for the input and tip about measuring the current, seems logic to me and could be a good way to get the right and constant fit.

never mess with shim unless u changing nitro content to match, when u change shim u change the detonation burn on the top of the piston, the burn explosion in our motors burns from the center of the piston outwards if u change the shims and leave the same nitro then it no longer will burn from center out and that's when people get the top of there piston looks like its deteriorating, it eats away at the top of the piston

Anyway we probably shouldn't be hijacking Rody's thread discussing Novarossi's! Best to continue debating about this if we want over on the Novarossi thread. Sorry Rody!!
