I'd love to switch back to OS if they can get me anywhere near my current Sirio's 1.45hp @ 39,000rpm.
Thanks in advance for any info. I'm ready to buy now if the numbers are right!
According to Gijoe64, a couple of pages back he posted.....

Spec: 4,000-36,000 RPM 1.5ps/31,000rpm

That max rpm doesn't seem to be any higher than what was spec on the standard 12 TR.

So whats the advantage this new R-spec is supposed to bring to the party? More HP?

The new R-spec is a ROAR legal 3-port turbo motor.

The old motor is a 5 port and not ROAR legal.

The new motor also has a much bigger and better cooling head than the old TR.

compaq888,

Towers site said they would have it mid-month. That was an ETA (Estimated time of arrival). My guess is that you wont see it till 1st week August. By the time they arrive, they receive it, ship it and it arrives....

Ciao,

John

Actually, Tower's site now says "in stock" in limited quantities. So if he had one pre-ordered, they should have charged his card and shipped him one. I think thats what he's talking about.

I just took the time to read back about 3-4 pages and I'm really impressed about what I'm reading about this engine. The original 12TR I ran last year was nearly perfect for our local track. Perfect on the infield, slightly under powered on the straight.

I think this new R-Spec would make an excellent replacement for the unreliable Sirio I've been running up to this point.

I'll likely be ordering me one soon!

I'm sure it will come, i'm just getting bored, because I sit the whole time at the track, instead of driving.

you guys didn't notice the TR 12 E-spec for sale in the sale forum? I did- and I bought it!!! LOL It's new with instuctions and air filter but no box cause it came with a new car.

The E-spec is the same as the R-spec it's just called E-spec because of the european EFRA (E-spec) as opposed to our ROAR (R-spec). It will be ont he way to get modded to out perform the Italian motors in just a few days...hehehe

I don't know about this Saturday. I'm really close to receiving it, I was told by tower that I will have it this month. I made different gearing for this engine, so I won't be in a disadvatage on the straightaway, but first I'll install the stock gearing because i need to learn how to drive the car.

Can I use your receiver pack charger while i save up for one? I just blew $160 on the engine and I still need to get fuel and a membership to crystal

Hello from France,

for bigdog: If you're lucky, the E-spec you receive comes with the new Machined piston and the new sleeve that isn't sale in the US version
