Thanks hesky and Im2lazy (also for your thoughts on the FW thread) for sharing.

A little off topic here: On the point of 'trigger control' and driving smoothly which affects mileage - do you guys mean to say punch when on the straight and release before it comes to a corner, letting it glide in and gradually increase throttle when exiting the corner? (i have the tendency to blimp/rev before going into the corner and sometimes blimp even during mid corner - that's not necessarily faster right?)

Wow, that's quite a bit to digest and contemplate for now and will try to practice some of these tips at the track this weekend.

Cheers Guys!

I think you know the answer to that, it can feel faster but I guarantee its not! perhaps a different driving style needs to be adopted.

hi nils, what do you mean by "it stops with a puf"?

edit: I have a feeling the take off on the pipe that goes to the fuel tank is blocked. the 2015 legal pipe should work fine on your fx engine.

hi,hesky its just like i wrote.
when i run a cople of laps ,the engine sudenly stops and the sound that it makes is ,puf or pop and then the engine is off.
the pressuer niple is not blockt, can it not be a problem with the mainfold that it is to short, the mainfold on the rd pipe is longer.
when i drive with the rd logic pipe on i dont have no problems.
but iwant to drive with the jp pipe on the engine.

Does your engine produce a heavy smoke? Maybe it's still too rich. In most cases, you will need to lean it more if you changed the pipe from Turbo (6-7mm) to EFRA legal pipe (5mm)

yeah i agree with daniz, if theres no noticeable problems with the pipe, all I can suggest is to have a go at tweaking the mixture. all tuned pipes require a bit of carb messing to get the most out of them ive found.

Oops sorry. But does your engine produce a heavy smoke? You can try to lean it out a bit. Do you already check the temperature?

When you race 1/10th you only think about 1/10th lol

Still all things the same, i'm sure your carb settings are a wee bit out.
have a play around and let us know how you get on.

Yes, I also drive 1:8 scale using Mugen MRX3. Yes it is easier to drive. But I don't love it as much I love my G4's performance
