Is there a DIY thread on how to take a Nova .12 apart?
|
The bearings have gone in my 35PLUS21, has anybody else had trouble with these engines?
Where can I get a new set? Thanks |

It might had something to do with the clutch bearing going at the same time and also the plug went and might have dumped some trash in the bearing. I see the bearing is a 16002. RC mushroom has the 16001 which looks the same bearing but not ceramic. Anybody know where I can get the 16002? Cheers |

this past weekend I was racing my mtx3 and it was crazy I bearly touched the trigger and I had instant power... this coming from a very conservative setting 220-230 degs. Some how the plug blew and it was replaced however it was replaced with something totaly different and the settings had to be changed and the power just wasn't the same... I'm thinking its solely the plug what would be the best plug to replace mine with? OS A3? MC-59? A8?
thanks for the advice |
Which Rex?
Which motor would you choose, RER 12S3 or RER 12LR3? I've seen mostly S3's for sale, but isn't the LR3's the newer of the two? I called Nitrohouse the other day and they said the LR3 is the long stroke version. Is this true, the stats on the novarossi.it looks like they are almost identical. Thanks for all the advice.

Plus 12-3
I would love to get my hands on that motor, but just like the Ninja motor, the Plus 12-3 is MIA. Any word on the ETA for the plus motor?

how hot do you guys normally run your .12 in a nitro sedan? whats a good temp range to stay in? thanks.
|
Some engines run hotter than others. I tune for performance not temps, but average my engines seemed to run around the low 210-230s. I never owned an engine that ran that hotter than 260.

the LR3 is the same engine as the Nova LS3...........short stroke.........nothing different than the older NSR versions excepting for the new crankcase, combustion chamber and sleeve |
harkonnend, thanks for the info. i haven't run much nitro and am getting back into it this summer. i've got a novarossi ns3, shook the bugs out of it in the street last week and it stayed around 200 - 220 which i thought was good. sounds like i need to stay under 240 and tune for performance. :D
